Re: Project Replace not working

It looks from your screen shot that you asked the program to look for ".are " rather than " are " --- you put a full stop before the word 'are' rather than a space.

Re: [LH543] Screenplay formatting still broken??

Any particular reason why you want to move to Scrivener? I've been using Scrivener for ten years or so, for screenplays, short stories, a novel and other writing projects. I do use another screenwriting software, but only to add Mores & Continueds. Scrivener is the only option for people who wr...

Re: [LH543] Screenplay formatting still broken??

Brilliant! Thank you. So it reports Physical DPI = 81.xxxx, 81.xxxx, and Logical DPI = 120, 120. So, back to the original problem (and sorry for leading this thread off into a discussion of my computer).. 1. What exactly is the threshold between a High and a Non-High DPI? And is it physical or logic...

Re: [LH543] Screenplay formatting still broken??

Here is some more info about my system (Windows 10, fully up to date). Note that the second shot says there is a custom scale factor set of 175%, and the third says it is 125%! I can't say I know why that is, and I wouldn't want to touch these settings without knowing a bit more. Apart from the Scri...

Re: [LH543] Screenplay formatting still broken??

The only solution for Beta 36 is to use a HighDPI monitor, What exactly do you mean here by a HighDPI monitor? And now I'm confused about what my monitor specs actually are. This website http://dpi.lv/ says: Resolution is 1920 x 1080 Diagonal 13.3 inches . 166 pixels per inch. This website https://...

Re: [LH543] Screenplay formatting still broken??

Thanks for the explanation, Tiho, but...
Is there anything I can do about it? This is a non-trivial problem for screen-writing, a show-stopper. If there is nothing I can do about it, then I can't use Scrivener 3.

Re: [LH543] Screenplay formatting still broken??

As far as I can see, nothing has changed since I reported this a couple of years ago here https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=50900 My text is still incorrectly displayed, exactly the same as in the screenshots in that post. I'll email a copy of the project to win3beta@...

Re: Searching within document and project notes

As I recall, it is possible in Scrivener 1.9 to replace but not search within the project notes. A long time ago I posted a description of the search functionality here: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=29791 I understand that the project notes functionality is recon...

Re: [LH543] -- Scriptwriting Mode improper format / text scaling

There's a report and discussion of this bug that started nearly two years ago. viewtopic.php?f=57&t=50900

I've not been able to use the beta while this is there.

Of the twenty-two civilizations that have appeared in history, nineteen of them collapsed when they reached the moral state the United States is in now. Arnold J. Toynbee. Let's say, for the sake of argument, that this correlation stands up in way that you intend. If so, it is an interesting observ...

Moving references between documents

Is it possble to move or copy a reference from the reference pane of one document to the reference pane of another document? Seems like I can drag the reference into the text of another document, but then it can't be dragged into another reference pane.

Re: [LH543/LH846] Scriptwriting Mode

This bug's got a number so I guess it's on their list. There's more about it here. Also this bug, which makes screenplays completely unreadable, does not yet seem to be fixed.

I'd really like to try out some of the new features, but until these are fixed I can't even get started.

Re: exporting screenplay to Final Draft

I seem to recall that FD respects preset script formats in files compiled in Scrivener, but ignores any page settings. So you need to set up the page settings you want when the file is in FD. To avoid having to make detailed changes to the page set-up each time you compile your script, when you have...
