Try to disable your antivirus an try Scrivener again. If Scrivener works as expected in this case, white list Scrivener and your Scrivener project folder with your antivirus application.
@BRENNUS390: You have marked the DRMAJORBOB's message as a spam, by mistake most likely. Here comes your message again: From BRENNUS390: Thank you for the link. I've been making modifications as indicated in the link but when the paper is compiled into Word.docx, it shows line spacing as 'Double' in...
Hi jo005597, thanks for the good words about Scrivener v3! About the Inspector Labels/Status changes, I think you have to separate Scrivenings mode from multiple Binder selection. When you select multiple items in the Binder, the Inspector Label/Status controls at the bottom are hidden and you canno...
I see the same problem in the Calibre screenshot. Most likely you have some Windows default setting which spoils the scrollbar sizes with Qt. This happens only with the default Scrivener theme, as it is the only one using Windows defaults. The other Scrivener themes use specific settings and not Win...
@GfK: You have actually changed your current main editor document. This info is saved within the project data and the backup is expected. Have in mind that every Scrivener project has a modification ID, which is updated upon each save. This is also very important data that needs to be saved for mobi...
The media that you use for backup could influence backup speed a lot. If you backup on an external memory card, it will be very slow. Backups over the network could be also slow. Backing up on your local computer HDD, will be much faster. It also depends on your backup options(with/without zip archi...
Your antivirus application (most likely McAfee) is blocking Scrivener from modifying its project documents. Whitelist Scrivener and your project folder. Also check the forum, there are several threads with reports and fixes of this error.
Yes, this is a known problem with the Theme style sheets which is not easy to fix unfortunately. We tried fixing it few times, but the result caused bigger issues. We will give it another try when we have less pressing issues to fix.
Thanks drmajorbob, when the <$compileGroup> placeholder is within the main text, it is handled as expected, but when placed as a compile prefix/suffix or in compile headers/footers it is not working as expected. This has been adjusted and will be available in the next update.
1. The message is only for information. Scrivener v1 always contains at least one project note, even if empty. Its contents and all other project notes from Scrivener v1 have been moved into the Project Bookmarks section. This message is only for information purposes. 2. Scrivener v3 is checking the...
If you cannot reproduce the problem without using Text to Speech, most likely it is Text to Speech interfering. The Strikethrough toolbar icon is a good idea we will probably add at some stage. It is not available under Mac, but Mac also does not allow editing the formatting toolbar, as much as I re...
The first problem is most likely due to different Scrivener installation Windows user account from the account being used during Scrivener update. The second screenshot you use the full installer and because of this you are asked for an installation destination, which is not needed when you update a...
