1. I've been using the Beta for at least a couple years now for 95% of my various writings. I jumped on early in. 2. No show-stoppers 3. If I don't uninstall the prior Beta/RC before installing the new Beta/RC *sometimes* there will be things left behind from the previous install that don't affect t...
I don't know if this relates to the first, reported issue in this thread, but it seems a good place to mention... I have noticed that the word counts in the Project Statistics differ from the word count in the "quick look" on the tool bar by about 50%: Scrivener_Word_Count.png Is this a pr...
Greetings, Scrivener Team - I have a glitch to report and need to send a screenshot to describe it... the board is telling me the attachment quota is reached and it can't accept more uploads. Is this account-specific (e.g., mine), or board-wide? If it's account-specific I can go back and remove old ...
Thanks, friends. Beta testing is an enjoyable game for me... I completely agree - that is a bunch of steps for what should be a simple, intuitive function. Which is why I think there's a bug at work. I have a suspicion it's something UI-related because the function/button becomes available after Opt...
Version: 2.9.0.22 Beta (664545) 64-bit - 27 Aug 2019 I got it to work - but there's definitely something wrong in the code as the function is not working as expected. Here's the recipe that works for me: 1. Select the text in the editor and change the font. De-select. 2. Press F12, then go to Option...
I was doing some style redefinition via "redefine from selection" and ran across this. The dialogue text isn't wrapping to stay within the box's boundaries.
I am 99.44% certain this is operator error... but will toss it out in case anyone else runs into this. Win 10 Home x64 Version 1803 Build 17134.228 Version: 2.9.0.14 Beta (476684) 64-bit - 20 Feb 2019 I am using the NaNoWriMo template from November. Whilst experimenting with Page View mode, I notice...
Thanks for all the refinements on the spelling-related functions, guys. All the glitchiness that was dogging me is gone, and I can now use "Learn Spelling" for words ending in " 's " without issue.
Confirmed - I'm not seeing anything new I can report, so I won't load you up with screenshots or other stuff. I did a test compile on default settings to .docx and all the em dashes became double hyphens.
That's a possibility I hadn't considered. I run my keyboard in US-International mode because I regularly do things in German and Gaelige, which have all those fun accents... when I get a moment, I'll have to reset my keyboard to stock US English and see what difference that makes. Thanks!
A small update, as I've just observed something I hadn't seen until now on this issue. I've stitched a couple screen shots together to illustrate - now, when opening the menu for learning a word, I'm seeing a ? in place of the ' character. Not sure if this has anything to do with anything, but wante...
Hmmm... does Scrivener have the option of turning off "smart quotes" as Word does? That could be a workaround as well, and when I do final formatting &c in Word, it's very simple to put 'em all back. Does the "ignore spelling" actually add the apostrophied word to the diction...
Had a busy couple weeks and just trying the QT stylesheets today. Do you simply copy the .stylesheet file to the Scrivener top directory and run via cmd, or should the file be placed farther in? Thus far, Scrivener is ignoring the stylesheet and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. There is a Win Vist...
