Automatic Fonts?

When I open up a new page/text file on Scrivener, it always opens with the font Courier New. I hate this font and tend to use a more handwriting-like font, so I have to manually change it every time. While this isn't a huge bother, it got me wondering: Is there an option somewhere to open up a new d...

Re: Where are the Backups?

I saved (not Saved As, just Save) the project. I have made my own backup settings, I had just forgotten how to get to them. My computer is having problems right now and shuts off suddenly all the time, which is why I've set it to back up every time I open, close, and manually save. So, it should hav...

Re: Where are the Backups?

Never mind, I just found it and my saved stuff isn't in any of them. 3 hours of research and writing gone, that stings. :x Well, time to go and find everything again... any idea why it didn't save OR backup?

Where are the Backups?

I saved and created a backup of my novel on Scrivener and shut off my computer, but when I turned it back on my new stuff was gone.
I want to go back and look at my backups to see if it's there, but I can't find the way to get to it. Help? How do I get to my backups?

Re: LEE'S UPDATE - BETA 035 RELEASED

Note that a complete uninstall and re-install of Scrivener is required for this release. Please ensure all your work is backed up.

Um, I didn't see this sentence, and I updated it without uninstalling it. Will this cause problems/should I go back and do it again? :|

Re: HELP IMMEDIATELY - Incompatible File?

Well, I must head to bed or else I will be a pile of sludge in the morning - all this stuff has kept me up 2 hours later than usual. Ugh. I will be up in 8 hours, and am hoping desperately that I'll have my email from you guys in the morning. Thanks for much for all the help, I ADORE Scrivener, and ...

Re: HELP IMMEDIATELY - Incompatible File?

I did try the 16 thing, it didn't work. While I was waiting for your answer I searched every file in the Scrivener area and found my chapters in the darkest corner of over 100 files in some folder. Still, I'll do the second thing you said 'cause I would LOVE to not have to copy everything into new ...

Re: HELP IMMEDIATELY - Incompatible File?

Hi, Sorry about your computer's sudden death! The project probably just had a file corrupted when your computer turned off, and most likely this is a quick fix that you can do yourself. First thing, make a copy of your project's entire .scriv folder, just for safety's sake. Then, try these steps: 1...

HELP IMMEDIATELY - Incompatible File?

Hi, I started using the Beta Version of Scrivener on September 1st. So far it had been great, until all of a sudden it's saying my file is incompatible. I didn't create a blank project for my documents - I just deleted the tutorials on the one I had read from and started from there. I had just typed...
