Re: iOS Update

I've just read through this thread, as I've been lagging on keeping up on iOS progress. So happy that it's gaining ground! Disappointed that it won't be available for Nano 2013, but it happens and I'm just happy you aren't releasing a half-baked piece of software that doesn't sync and loses words :P...

Re: Creating a Compile Tutorial. What would you like to know?

I'd like some help on how to make it show chapter headings at the beg of each chapter. That always gave me grief.

Re: Weird tabbing on new paragraphs

This is in new documents. It's not a new project, if that matters. I transferred the project from my old computer to this one.
I checked the Editor settings and they are where they're supposed to be. I have no clue what Scriv is doing.

Or maybe it's me

Weird tabbing on new paragraphs

Normally when I hit Enter for a new paragraph Scrivener automatically inserts a tab on the first line of the new paragraph. I recently got a new computer (Win7) and put Scrivener on it. Now it doesn't do this. The first line protrudes .5" before all the other lines. Essentially, it looks like e...

Re: "Incompatible with this version of Scrivener"? help

It's nothing fancy. That's just the project format version number. So in the future when format version 17 is released, Scrivener will be able to open a project and know with what code it was last saved in and handle it accordingly to update it. It's just a way to future proof the format. If there ...

Re: Totally off topic question to the Mods

I have met Julia (but then she is my wife), David (but then I did grow up next door to him), and Lee. I have never met Jennifer or Ioa, but do plan on getting them to England one day to buy them a beer. That would be a grueling journey. Hey Jen! Hey Ioa! You landed, finally. Let's go over to the ca...

Re: Kindle eBooks file extension

Why does it use a different file extension? It's the same books as on your Kindle, just on your iPad.
Anyway, that would be nice, but Lee has a list of updates/bug fixes/enhancements all the way up to 2.0, and he may not have time to add something like this where there is an easy fix.

Re: Install with error "Scrivener may not work properly"!

I suspect this may be the same error I reported in this thread. @ReadySetWrite--does this look like the same thing? http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=15904&p=112062#p112062 YES! That is exactly what I had! Thank you very much. And yes, Amber, I did uninstall the o...

Re: Lost work - HELP!

Type "16" What's the magic of 16? I've heard it again and again, but I have never been able to figure out the magic of 16. Is it the original number of sleepless nights all in a row that Keith endured to finish Scriv? Is it the number of nights that dinner consisted of coffee, and yet mor...

Re: Thank you to "The Entire Team"

But whose heart? Is this some kind of barbarian sacrifice to cut out hearts and lay them at the feet of the Scrivener gods? I always thought it was a sappy, lace and red paper Valentine heart myself, but I may have been wrong all this time. What if all this time I was unknowingly promoting barbaria...

Install with error "Scrivener may not work properly"!

I just downloaded the Scrivener trial so that I could put in my activation code. When it was installing a box came up that said "Install with error" and it said that Scrivener may not run properly because it installed with an error. It also gave me a message that looked like a file name an...

Yes, thank you everyone!
I <3 Scriv, and I think I would have died to do NaNo without it. Esp. after my crippling failure at having a plot of any kind last year.

Yea for organization!

Re: 3 bugs in 49

I think in regards to #3 the scroll bar is supposed to fade away when you've been working in Fullscreen mode. I think you're noticing it because background opacity isn't high and so allows the image of your desktop to show through. Okay. I didn't know that. I'm used to browsers, MS Word, and other ...
