Re: Retina display support for the new MBP

I haven't tried the other scales yet, but will take a look tomorrow (I'm on MBA at the moment). Scrivener won't require any preferences, though - it's up to OS X to decide what images to use once they are built in. I was actually referring to the desktop in full native display resolution with my st...

Re: Retina display support for the new MBP

Heh, all right, all right, I'm just saying. :) It *is* a lovely machine, no doubt about that. Text looks amazing on it - their claims about it looking like magazine text is spot on. Hello Keith, Did you also take a look into the different scaling modes besides the "Retina" option with Scr...

Re: Retina display support for the new MBP

I was actually kinda surprised that I was the first person to post it. All the other folks were probably to busy watching soccer. Great to hear that Retina is already on your list. Personally I don't really worry that much about the icons, but more about the images in my research folder. I us...

Retina display support for the new MBP

Hello Keith,

Any idea when Scrivener will have native support for Apple's new Retina display?

Re: Windows version?

While we are at it... Can we have a Windows 8 Version that runs on ARM with Metro interface? You know those Asus Transformer Laptop/Tablet hybrids start looking quite sexy for mobile writing. Oh well, I guess after today's WWDC keynote my credit card will laugh at me, if I buy an Asus devi...

Re: Events vs. States

Hallo Elenien, Since I'm just some kind of of AT zealot I can't speak for Matt, but I looking at our sample I can understand your idea better now. You might try something like this to fake grouping with sub arcs: Bildschirmfoto 2012-06-11 um 18.47.44.png I hope my quick mockup doesn't look to confus...

Re: Events vs. States

I have had other conversations with someone along similar lines, where events are really just the trigger points to advance the story or character - i.e. the events are the cause, and their effect is to advance a character to the next state of their "character arc". Yes! That is part of w...

KB wrote:Dropbox and iTunes are, to the best of my knowledge, our sole focus for version 1.0, though. Jen will correct me if I am wrong.

As long as iTunes works both ways like in OmniOutliner or Storyist, I'm perfectly happy. :D

Re: Easy synchronization other than the Cloud

A middle man of some sort is always necessary... But you will be able to move files between using iTunes. Did you ever use MacFamilyTree with MobileFamilyTree (its iOS version)? You can actually sync your mobile device from inside the Mac OS X Application. DevonThink Pro Office syncs directly via W...

Re: [Aeon Timeline] Update Release 1.0.1 - Advanced Download

Hi Matt, Thanks for this quick bugfix! After some quick testing, I can confirm that versions work on a MacBook Air in 1.0.1, also the ampersands are working again for me. I really like the new way event locking works. It's really useful now without being to restrictive while working in the inspector...

Re: Aeon Timeline - Now Available (COUPON CODE)

Congratulations Matt :D Checkout worked fine for me aswell. However I noticed that your trial splash screen and your website are a little bit schizophrenic about the length of the trial. If you hover your mouse over the "Download" button in the top area of the site it says 30 days trial, t...

Re: Index Card for iPhone

If the file already exists in iTunes, it will require you to confirm you want to overwrite the existing file. This is pretty standard Apple practice. You won't see the file in iTunes unless it can see your device, and you're viewing the app in File Sharing. It doesn't overwrite the file after I con...

Re: Index Card for iPhone

Looks quite nice already. However iTunes sync doesn't really work at the moment. There doesn't seem to be a way to sync Scrivener (Mac) -> iTunes -> Index Card (iPhone). The other way round is a bit buggy as well. Once you try to export an .indexcard via "send to iTunes" for the 2nd time, ...

Re: Document locking

You can take a snapshot of a document when you want to lock at at a particular point - that way, even if you accidentally make edits, you can always return to the locked version (the snapshot). How about adding the option to compile a certain snapshot of a binderitem? Let's say I'm finished with &q...
