Bibliography

Using key combination of Ctrl + G, or Ctrol + O to bring up my bibliography manager (JabRef) does not work, apparently because these combinations are assigned to other functions, eg Ctrl + G is also new project and Ctrl + O is open. Any chance of having a specific key combination for bibliography, s...

Outliner problem

I really like using the outliner, which I use even more than the corkboard to arrange my material. However, despite having checked "save outliner and corkboard settings" in the layout manager, I find that every time I come back to my work, the outliner columns have either disappeared off t...

Re: Text jumbles

Okay, so you mean you're using the split editor in Scrivener, pasting between two documents in the project? There's certainly nothing wrong with that generally, so it still sounds like a formatting issue. Did you try using the Documents > Convert > Formatting to Default Text Style command to restor...

Re: Text jumbles

It's usually the same text in two different windows -- ie, I keep a master version in the left window, then make a copy which I paste on the right. I do the editing on the right, paragraph by paragraph, then transfer to the master copy. That's when the jumbling occurs.

Text jumbles

When pasting content from one window to another my text jumbles. In other words, the insert goes on top of whatever is already there instead of inserting. I can only repair the problem by hitting the space bar repeatedly until the jumbled text separates, which means I then have to get rid of all the...

Outliner

When I switch to Outliner, all the columns, except the first, have disappeared off the right of the screen. Is this normal? Thanks

Re: Font default

OK, I answer my own question. I can see there is a way of setting a font default in options/editor, but that seems to work only on new fonts. What I'm looking for is something that will retroactively put all my files already in the system, hundreds of them, into a single font and format. Scrivener a...

Re: Fonts

Yup -- I posed a similar question about defaults in another post. I checked options, editor and did not find anything about setting a specific font as the default, not about retrospectively setting a default for an existing project which contains a variety of fonts and formats. Thanks.

Font default

This is a very dumb question, but how can I establish a default font (Garamond) and size for all my texts.I suspect this has something to do with templates, and I notice that there is a new template command, but how can I convert an existing and rather large project with a variety of fonts and colum...

Re: Secret Default Substitutions List or Software Bug?

I use substitutions to insert accents -- for example eg/ plus enter gives e grave in French. Much quicker than using the character map.

Re: Should I change from OneNote to EverNote

I have just had to junk One Note since Microsoft informed me that my trial period has ended (it hasn't -- I bought the MS Office program outright) and that I need to move to the Cloud via Windows Live and pay a regular fee to continue using. I'm too busy to sort out the problem, but would be gratefu...
