Re: Compile changes first word of a paragraph to a number

Thank you, AmberV; I had to use both methods! Format -> List -> None with the cursor in the first paragraph made a change to all of the following affected paragraphs. However it also removed the first line indent on the paragraphs. I then used the cut and paste and match style to match the first lin...

Compile changes first word of a paragraph to a number

I'm back at work on an old project which has seen many versions of Scrivener. I am finding a strange bug when I compile. The first 4 chapters of the project are fine, but in chapter 5 onwards, random paragraphs which look no different in Scrivener compile with the following changes: - first word in ...

Re: Compile presets gone. Where are they kept?

I use the Mac Apple Store version of Scrivener. But I switched to the Mac beta during the iOS version beta test, and then after iOS version was released, downloaded the new MAS version. I looked in "Reveal Support Folder in Finder" and it took me to ~/Library/Application Support/Scrivener ...

Compile presets gone. Where are they kept?

I was trying to use my text to speech tip again (http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=31029) and found that my Mac had gone back to its old mispronounciations. My Compile presets are empty - presumably due to the switch to the new Scrivener for Mac that syncs with the iOS...

Re: Scrivener for Apple Watch

Hilarious thread from Keith's initial "No!" to the "could use it while jogging but I don't currently jog." Apart from notetaking while lounging on the sofa wondering whether to take up jogging, how about putting the daily writing target on an activity ring? Except, I don't curren...

Re: Making a rough audiobook with Mac speech and Compile

I don't have Hazel but I hear a lot about it on the Mac Power Users podcast. Hazel watches a folder and takes action on new files entering the folder. It can watch a folder on Dropbox. I'm wondering if you could compile from iOS to plain text in a Dropbox folder and have Hazel do the conversion to i...

Re: iThoughts and Scapple

Reply to the above comment about MindNode, iThoughts also syncs between iOS and Mac versions, via iCloud. There's a single iOS version for iPhone and iPad. As well as mindmapping, I use iThoughts to "mindsweep" - a Getting Things Done technique for figuring out all the things you have to d...

Re: Magic Mouse - any good?

+1 for Magic Mouse. I use a variety of mice but this is my favorite. I have the previous version which takes AAs; I use rechargeables and keep a few spares in a box at my desk. The new one can't be used while charging but I gather it charges fast and the charge lasts much longer. I use the MM with m...

Je suis une anglophone et je comprends le français, mais je ne comprends pas votre problème. S'il vous plaît expliquer en français, alors nous les anglophones peuvent essayer google translate de notre côté :-)

Re: can't download Scrivener

That method changes the security settings for all apps. You can also use this tip from Apple to override the security settings for one app. Right click on the app and select open. You still get a popup but instead of "you can't do that" it gives you the option to open the app. After the fi...
