Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

If you are looking for an immediate option to corkboard writing on iOS, you might consider Index Card 4 . It launched today, and adds the ability to export your Index Card projects as a .scriv Scrivener file. This will maintain stacked cards, and formatting you've done to body text. Note this is a o...

Re: Writing on an iPhone 6 Plus

For me, the sole purpose of iOS Scrivener is to capture all those random thoughts and snippets that now get scribbled in a pocket notebook or a pocketful of index cards or the marinara-stained corner of a napkin, eventually transferred to Scrivener (or lost, or forgotten). If you want to stick with...

Re: Index Card for iPhone

Looks quite nice already. However iTunes sync doesn't really work at the moment. There doesn't seem to be a way to sync Scrivener (Mac) -> iTunes -> Index Card (iPhone). The other way round is a bit buggy as well. Once you try to export an .indexcard via "send to iTunes" for the 2nd time ...

Re: Index Card for iPhone

Great news. Any plans to sync iPad & iPhone projects? :D You can send projects from the iPad app to the iPhone app (and vice versa), using the .indexcard import / export function. Most people use Mail or Dropbox to share. I am evaluating iCloud as a way to keep projects in sync between multiple...

Re: Index Card for iPad

Right now, I think you will find that the Index Card Notes field syncs with Scrivener Text Field. There is not a Text field in Index Card right now, but I am considering it for a future release. This would free up Notes field in Index Card to sync with Notes Scrivener field. Keith is aware, and we a...

Hollywood Cowboy or Hearts of the West

I was taken with the quote listed in the description for this forum. "Anyone can say he's a writer. But when someone else says you're a writer, then you're a writer." So says the old geezer to Jeff Bridges in Hollywood Cowboy . So I thought I'd add the movie to my Netflix queue. Alas I cou...

Re: Update Collection from Index Card overwrites source file

Well, respectfully, the .indexcard format does support notes (key: notes, string: note content). The notes from the back of the card are in the .indexcard xml when it is exported from Index Card. When Scrivener syncs that file it erases that data from the .indexcard file. At minimum, Scrivener shou...

I thought you'd like to know that your app (and its ability to sync with Scrivener 2.0) was one of the deciding factors in my buying an iPad a few days ago - Index Card looks gorgeous and is already proving a cornerstone of my NaNoWriMo 2010 preparations!
