Thank you, RobG, for the advice. My apologies. I thought I had already responded to this.

Altering Text Size in Headers/Footers

I apologise if thiw has been mentioned elsewhere, but I could not find the topic. Anywho... I am using the blank template and have made a few changes to the size of text to aid my atrocious eyesight, but I cannot seem to find a setting to change the size of the footer settings . The text is so small...

Word Substitutions List

My Windows laptop died, forcing me to work on my Macbook Air. I had a fair grasp of Scriv for Windows, but am finding the Mac version something of an uphill battle. I had a list of word substitutions on my Windows system (e.g. #fgd rendered as Fitzgerald) that I have difficulties replicating on the ...

Re: Help - Mac Newb All at Sea

Thank you. That entirely escaped me.

There's no pleasing some people. Now any idea how I change the ruler to show centimetres not inches?

Help - Mac Newb All at Sea

Usually, I pay attention to user manuals, but life has thrown a few spanners in the works, and my ability to concentrate has gone to the dogs. May I therefore ask for some assistance with the following: I have been using Scrivener for Windows from pretty much the get go and thought I had a good gras...

Re: Can I make a keyboard shortcut to quickly add auto-corrected words?

I would suggest that text replacement can probably get you to what you need. Go to Tools>Options> Select Corrections from items on left Click on Edit substitutions button Press + button In "replace" field type text to be - well, er, replaced e.g. #fpk In "with" field type the tex...

Re: Pre-Sale Question - Windows version worth it ?

There's a simple solution here. Download the trial version and take it for a spin. I have been using the Windows version from early on in the development process. It has actually helped me to get my words onto the page, where when I used Word, for instance, I bogged down and couldn't keep my novel o...

Scrivenings/Outline View Shuts Down Scrivener

Lately, every time I try to look at an outline view of my whole project, it invariably results in my project immediately shutting down. Does anyone know what is likely to be causing this? I would add that my project is a hefty one, because my wordcount is touching on 300K, well into trilogy territor...

Yep, another one here.

Scrivener is now also taking its time to load, which it was not doing before.

Re: [Resolved} Scriv Crashes in Scrivenings Session

In case anyone has the same issue... It seems my laptop forced a shut down and my Scriv project closed without engaging the proper shut down sequence. I took me a while to figure out that on reopening, some of my scenes registered as either a zero word count or a word count of one. I corrected that ...

Scriv Crashes in Scrivenings Session

I am using Windows 10 .

Following recent update, Scrivenier now crashes on opening a Scrivenings session.

Admittedly my project is a big one, but I was having no issues prior to the most recent update.

Is anybody experiencing the same problem? Does anyone have a solution?

Re: Hating the built-in Novel template

There's a whizz of a keyboard short cut to consider for moving folders or individual documents around in your project.

For example: select a folder or document and hit Ctrl + one of the directional keys - try ctrl + left directional key.

Re: Missing words

I suspect the issue is with you. If you are writing with a busy schedule, you are not going to be at your freshest and it is easy for small errors to creep in. Before you create the finished file, I would suggest you read the text aloud. Better still, if you have a program which can read it out for ...
