Re: Managed to crash the app

Thanks MM - I think it *is* the project, as I've just played around with a different bit of work & had no problems. Deleting & reinstalling the app made no difference. I'll zip the offending project & send it over. Cheers!

Re: Managed to crash the app

Thank you. Sounds like a great feature, and overall I already adore the app & am happily using it to work from. I will leave that icon alone for now, though... The app crashes completely, not appearing when I switch between apps. When it reopen the app it is back on the screen to select a projec...

Managed to crash the app

Hello Just playing around with the new app, delighted so far but I do keep managing to crash it, by clicking the icon which is 3 horizontal lines at the bottom of a scene/document, the one next to the bookmark icon. For a second the screen says 'Loading Draft Preview' but then the whole thing crashe...

Re: Alt+arrow shortcuts not working since upgrade to Windows 8.1

Ah - I have worked out how to fix this, by going into Tools>Options>keyboard and manually adding in the shortcut actions. When I first went into the keyboard shortcut options, on a fresh Scrivener install, the 'Toggle Editor Footer Bar' keyboard shortcut was blank, so I added in 'Alt +Down' & th...

Fixed: Alt+arrow shortcuts not working

Hi, My beloved alt & direction arrows shortcuts, eg alt + down key to show/hide wordcount, have stopped working since I upgraded my laptop to Windows 8.1. I've uninstalled & reinstalled Scrivener, restarted the pc a few times, reset to the defaults twice too, but nothing's helping. Has this ...

Re: Change Font for Whole Manuscript (Not for Compiling), Etc.

Hi, Me too. Every version of Scrivener for Windows I've had, no matter how many times I adjust the font preferences in Options/Appearance, every new scene I create(Ctrl & N) in every project defaults to Courier too - and I hate Courier with a fiery passion. Having to stop at every new scene to c...

text getting cut off when exporting or compiling

Hello I bet there's something simple I'm missing, but when I use either export or compile to transfer my work out of Scrivener the resulting documents (both RTF & DocX) have cut the text off at the right side. Most of the sentence/text is there - but not all. I'm not zoomed in or anything, &...

Re: Global Font Setting?

Unfortunately even though I do this, new docs still start with Courier. The Editor at the top says I'm using Microsoft Sans Serif, 14, Regular, 1.5 - the options I set - but when i start typing it's always Courier. Which is a shame, cos I hate Courier. The other options load great - my background co...

Re: Freezing issues during a range of actions

Thought I'd chime in & add my voice; Scrivener's been crashing during lots of things for me too (WIndows 7 user), none i can recreate & thus report as a bug, sorry, but at least a few times a day since the last update. It hasn't lost a single word when this happens which is marvellous, but i...
