Can't install "critical hot fix"

I'm running Scrivener 1.9.7.0 under Crossover Office. When I start Srivener I get a window urging me to install a "Critical Hot Fix" from October 10th. But every time I try to install this patch I get a "Fatal Error in Installer" message with the content "Called Tcl_Close on...

Re: Some Scriv on Wine issues

Okay, I changed my Wine version from 1.9.20 to 1.9.0 and that takes care of the problem where Scrivener crashes whenever I try to copy and paste.

Still can't get the stacked corkboard thing to work, though.

Any thoughts?

Some Scriv on Wine issues

Hey, Have long been using Scrivener Linux beta and generally happy but now want access to stacked corkboards, which I understand are now in Windows version. So downloaded Win 1.9.70 onto Ubuntu 14.04 running under Wine 1.9.20. Still can't get to the stacked corkboard. My understanding is that all I ...

Re: Linux 1.9.01 Beta Released

Much obliged to all of you for bringing the linux version this far along. It has been and will continue to be great for me. I was always waiting for the linux version to go on sale, but now I've gone ahead and bought the Windows version, although I don't have any plans to use it. Again, you people a...

Ubuntu 14.04 and ia32-libs

I had a little struggle this morning getting Scrivener loaded on a new laptop running on Trusty Tahr, and I thought I'd pass on what I found. Installation of the deb file failed using both gdebi and the Ubuntu Software Center. Trying to install the files directly from the tar ball resulted in the sa...

Re: can't drag files around

Auto-saving doesn't seem to be my problem, as I can set my auto-save delay to a minute, and still not be able to re-order the documents in my project by dragging them. Plus, my Dell laptop has an i7 processor, so I don't think it's underpowered. :) I can reorder documents in the binder by using CTRL...

can't drag files around

I am not being able to re-order files by dragging with the mouse, in either the binder or the corkboard or the outline. Whenever I drag a file I see a circle-with-line-through-it icon, and the file won't move to where I place it. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a behavior that hasn't come to ...

Re: 1.5.0.6 LINUX Beta Released

As always, thanks to everyone on the Scrivener for Windows/Linux team for your great work. Bravo. I just used dpkg to load it onto my Dell Studio laptop running Ubuntu 12.04, and it has so far worked perfectly right out of the box. One question: I didn't see what the expiration date for this beta is...

Re: BETA 1.1.0 RELEASED

It does tell me wrong architecture, (my system is 64 bit Ubuntu), but I'm sure I've installed 32 bit stuff before and it worked. Ekotyk, have you tried the following command for your installation: sudo dpkg -i --force-architecture scrivener-1.1.0-beta.deb Rob gave these instructions last year for g...

Re: Beta 101 DEB NOW AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD

Just want to give a Big Thanks to everyone involved with Scrivener for Linux. Quick Idea: It may be too early to charge the full $40(?) for the Linux version, but how about an interim measure. For $10 sell us the right to receive betas that won't expire for a year. That brings in a little revenue fr...

Atomicblue: from the library listing you posted, it looks like you missed linking a couple of files --
libQtMultimedia.so.4
libQtWebKit.so

If you link those two, then hopefully it will work for you.

The manual procedure worked for me. I just want to thank garpu for taking the time to post and having the expertise to know what to do. Heck, thanks to all of the people who are helping bring the Scrivener betas to Linux.

Cool. Thanks for the news. Maybe at the end of June I can finally put my money down and buy the product. Thanks to everyone associated with this project.

Re: The 21st is creeping up on us.

By the by, thanks garpu, for the tip that I can re-set my system clock back to normal once I have the Scrivener beta started. That is very helpful.
