Re: Regretting installing Ubuntu 11.10

Since upgrading to 11.10 I've been getting a similar problem. Scrivener starts up okay (in fact it's a lot quicker since the clean install of 11.10) but if I try to move a scene, either in the cork board or binder, Scrivener immediately closes saying, I've just installed beta 1.0.1 and the problem ...

Re: Word Count

In the project menu there's an option Project Stastistics which shows the word count.

Also if you have the footer showing that shows the word and character count for the section you're working on.

Re: Image formats supported on Linux?

I'm also using Ubuntu 11.04 and I've been able to add GIF and JPEG images. When loading an image file I get the same options as Eve. I tried adding some pictures whilst stracing Scrivener. The only thing that looked relevant was it uses the files in the directory /usr/lib/kde4/plugins/imageformats/ ...

Re: Trouble running beta 025

I managed to get 025 working by deleting the file ~/.config/Scrivener/Scrivener.conf so I guess something in there was conflicting. However I closed scrivener down and tried running it again and it failed silently without any error messages. I deleted the conf file and it worked again (though it tak...

Re: Trouble running beta 025

You're right, 024 worked fine. I still had the TGZ file so I tried installing that, and then copying 025 over that. Unfortunately the same thing still happens. A long delay and then the error message from QtToolBarManager. Also I tried downloading the beta again, in case the file had gotten corrupte...

Trouble running beta 025

I've followed the instructions in the wiki for installing the tgz file. When I try to run Scrivener from the terminal it pauses for a couple of minutes and then I get the following error: QtToolBarManager::restoreState(): cannot find a QAction named 'Insert Table', trying to match using 'text' inste...

Re: Semi-Fixed window size

Have you got the inspector panel showing?

I'm using 1.9 and I can resize the window fully when the inspector is hidden, but when I show the inspector the window suddenly resizes itself so it no longer fits on the screen.
