Selection of a folder in the binder jumps the viewing position to the bottom of the pane.

Hi, I have searched this forum reasonably comprehensively to see if anyone has a similar problem but cannot find anything. In the template "Non Fiction Format", when I click on a folder in the binder, it immediately drops to the bottom of the screen. This occurs in both Draft and Research,...

Re: Word count "status bar" missing?

Thanks for the reply. It hasn't changed my mind about Scrivener needing something to tell you which mode you are in at any time, not just for a few minutes after you change. However I think putting something in the manual would be a good idea. As far as I could see, nowhere did the manual mention in...

Re: Word count "status bar" missing?

Yes, now that you have called my attention to it, I can see that when it is in scriptwriting mode and when you have opened the format menu and hovered over "scriptwriting" in the list, that you do indeed in the next sub-menu, get a small highlight around the icon for the mode. However it t...

Re: Word count "status bar" missing?

I also could not find the word count in the footer bar when I opened a previous project although it showed in the current one. However reading this post helped to trace the issue. However search as I may, I cannot see any change to the Binder Icon when I toggle between script mode and general docume...

Progress bar stuck after pasting text with embedded comment

Hi, I am experiencing a problem with what I presume is a progress bar for identifying if Scrivener has fully rendered a page. I moved text containing a comment to a new document and when I returned to the previous one, the progress bar was stuck on 37%. Closing and reopening Scrivener had no effect....

Sorry, got the version number wrong. Was referring to 1.5.3 for Windows!

1.5.2.0 Yay!

Well, I'm excited - and just before my birthday too. 1.5.2.0 seems to load a lot faster on my poor overloaded computer. Since I have never used a Mac, comparisons are not possible so every upgrade is a bonus. I have been looking forward to "comments" in the Windows version for ages, and I'...

Re: Moving stuff from one project to another

How do you do that in the Windows version? In Scrivener for Windows, it's possible to duplicate a file or folder but not to copy it in the "copy to clipboard" sense.

Re: 1.2.5 Scrolling problem in Scrivenings with Typewriter mode

While its nice to know its possible to work around the problem, I really like typewriter scrolling. I think the jump behaviour around the cursor in that mode is a bug which should be registered and fixed!

Re: How to use bibliography and references?

I too am a Scrivener (for windows) and Zotero user. I have invested years of building a bibliographic database into Zotero and am unwilling to give it up for something that works with my equally beloved Scrivener. I'd just love something which took a few steps out of my copy-and-paste-and-reformat-a...

1.2.5 Scrolling problem in Scrivenings with Typewriter mode

This issue was also a problem in 1.2.1 and has not been fixed in 1.2.5. Trying to make a text selection to edit in Scrivenings with typewriter mode on, it appears as if the typewriter mode is trying to keep the cursor centred as it selects, resulting in jumpy and difficult selection. The page scroll...

Re: Simple Words Interpreted as Mispells

Hoping someone is working on this. Here is my list of mostly rather overly academic words (which I hate to admit, but I do actually use) which Scrivener for Windows thinks are errors. Towards Forwards Backwards Inwards Outwards Artefact (I know there is a variant spelling of “artifact”, but artefact...

Re: Wish List - Fixed line numbering

Fixed line numbering for each document in Scrivener would not only be useful for locating positions in long documents, but it would help with comparisons of imported / exported documents if any subsequent editing was done in either. The reason I would most like it however is that I would like to imp...

Re: Rename the saved search tab?

Screwed up my courage and uninstalled and reinstalled from the webpage and ended up with 1.0.3 even though I used the installer 1.0.0.0, so it must have been the installer software with the 1.0.0.0 version number. Everything worked and I even solved the mystery of which was the last backup which I a...

Re: Rename the saved search tab?

Thanks for that MM. I have just realized what a ghastly time of the morning it is there. You people must never sleep! Now before I do something possibly irrevocable, I have downloaded a new version from the link right at the top of the page in the title to see if it is any different from the previou...
