Re: Mass font change

I had tried that, but unfortunately it doesn't work. When in scrivenings mode and you try to select text, you can only select the text of one document at at time, even though you're looking at them all. Same goes with using Ctrl-A to 'select all' -- only the text in the document you have highlighted...

Re: Mass font change

It seems the `Documents/Convert/Formatting to Default Text Style` menu command is still not available in the latest beta. Any idea when it will be added? I just imported about 300 text files into my new project, and they were assigned a tiny, unreadable 8-point font. Is there no automated way to cha...

Re: BETA 1.6 FIXES & KNOWN BUGS REMAINING

the PDF compile in beta 1.6 is using Word. my compiled PDF document shows "Microsoft Word 2010" as the PDF Producer in document properties. The only thing Scrivener currently uses a Word install for is doc and docx conversion. If it's using the Word for pdf it shouldn't and is no doubt a b...

Re: Working off of network drives (MobileMe, thumb drives...)

Keith, the new guideline post is wonderful, thanks. I think this will help many users. As you know, cloud computing and sharing workflow between a handful of devices is the way most professionals work now, so this issue is often the first one to address when considering a new piece of software like ...

beta 1.6 crashing

The latest beta crashed on me in the middle of writing (Win 7/x64); I wasn't doing anything abnormal at all. Does it automatically send you a crash report? Otherwise I'm not sure how to submit useful feedback about the crash.

Re: Working off of network drives (MobileMe, thumb drives...)

Ok, thanks. Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to sort through the ambiguity between the official supported recommendation about dropbox and Scrivener and the way people are actually using it. Like most people, I write on multiple computers (workstation at home, laptop when traveling, etc)...

Re: Working off of network drives (MobileMe, thumb drives...)

Ok, so you're saying that you store your project on dropbox for safety purposes, but not in order to work off of it from multiple machines?

Re: Working off of network drives (MobileMe; DropBox...)

Keith, just to clarify, do you use the 'sync to external' dropbox folder method, or do you actually store your Scrivener project folder on dropbox and work off it from multiple machines? As for Dropbox, as I've said elsewhere, I use Dropbox to share my .scriv files between machines and accounts. You...

text scale option missing in full screen mode

The text scale option seems to be missing in full screen editing mode, leaving no way that I can see to increase or decrease text size while writing.

automatic backup is a must-have for final release

I'm pretty stunned that the windows beta has no automatic backup feature like the Mac version has. Data safety and integrity should be priority #1 for this sort of application. The current beta makes you manually choose the backup option from the menu (there's not even a key command for it), then br...
