Re: Fountain Conversion within a document?

The biggest advantage in my opinion, is that for people like me who are merely dabblers in scripting comics, (which can be shoe-horned into fountain format pretty easily) the script writing mode is really disorienting. You know there's no standard comic script format, right? You don't need to use s...

1.7.0.2 losing the input pointer, just have the arrow curser

You know how when you have an editable field in windows , the mouse curser is an uppercase "I" rather than a little arrow? Both in the beta and the current version of scrivener, I frequently lose the "I" and just have the arrow permanently. I think what's causing it is links to w...

Re: Windows 8 Devices Support

Correct me if I'm wrong, but since Windows 8 for tablets is going to be written for ARM processors, and since there is no emulation for x86 programs, only programs re-written for the ARM architecture will run on Win8 tablets. There will be intel tablets and ARM tablets sold with Windows 8. Someone ...

Re: Requesting more ways to view autonumbers for comic writers

A dumb list, like Corkboard uses, would indeed be much easier to implement. The problem is, I think you're the first person to date that has suggested that as workable. :) Most people want the fancy stuff, so the whole idea has been sidelined for 3.0 conversations. But again like I say it will almo...

Re: Requesting more ways to view autonumbers for comic writers

You can maybe see why just relatively numbering a flat list of index cards, always starting from 1, was the implementation currently chosen. I think I see what you mean Amber. Just to make sure I'm being clear, all I'm asking for my own use case (and presumably other comic writers would find it use...

Requesting more ways to view autonumbers for comic writers

Hi, As I've mentioned during a previous feature request, a comic book writer needs to keep track of what page they are on in the final comic, in order to plan for two page spreads and page turns. The "show card numbers" feature is very useful for comic writers who assign one page of the fi...

Re: Mad name generator feature request

Disclaimers on their own aren't sufficient to shield you from the threat of a lawsuit, in all jurisdictions. Far better not to use the name of someone prominent (unless it's a requested Tuckerization) in the first place. Actually in most countries, in order to sue you, they must prove intent of def...

Re: Auto number tags in 1.1.0.3 [FIXED #5]

Lee, I probably wasn't clear. The issue is in the body of the document, not the header. (I'm using auto number for the page of the final comic rather than the script page) I played around with it. It happens when the compile option under header, "not on page 1" is checked and "count p...

Re: Auto number tags in 1.1.0.3 [FIXED #5]

I'm still seeing this in 1.1.0.5. Is fixed #5 supposed to mean it's fixed in this version?

I'm using the default comic book format and the counter PAGE <$n>. The first page shows no number and the second starts out at 1 as described in this thread. This happens when I compile.

FDX file import [FIXED]

Adobe story (the free online screenwriting software) has a feature to export to an FDX file. I have an FDX file that I exported with adobe story. Scriviner cannot import it. (It imports just fine in Final Draft 8 ). I've attached the file. (Scriviner gives a "cannot parse file contents error.) ...

Re: Features to improve comic book workflow

Hmmmm, I took another look at how Johnston does it. He seems to do one card per page. I gather the Mac version has auto numbering of the index cards? I'm actually using windows. The windows version doesn't (unless its buried in a menu I haven't found). So index card auto numbering can't be used to s...

Features to improve comic book workflow

Hi folks, Scrivener is a bit awkward to use for comic book writing, relating to the way that auto numbers work. Ideally, a comic book writer needs to see the page and panel numbers in the editor, it isn't sufficient to only see the numbers at compile times. This is because, for craft reasons, a comi...

Not on page 1

Just want to note I think the compile- "not on page 1" option is not ideal from a user interface and user friendliness design. I was trying to create a header that had the page numbers using the page number token, but the header kept starting at page zero. I discovered the problem was, spe...

Compile- remove annotations deletes line break

I'm using a custom version of the comic book template. When I export to DOC a line break is removed when I remove annotations with the compile option for remove annotations checked. Images of what it looks like in Scrivener and Word at this link: http://www.evernote.com/shard/s1/sh/91071c86-eb33-4e0...

Difficulty with a comic book screenplay

Hi, I'm working on a comic book script in the Mac version of Srivener- but I'm working on a project started with the windows version. I'm currently in the editing phase of my project, tweaking the script, and I want to demonstrate a minor frustration I'm having. (Not sure whether you'd classify this...
