Scrivener 1.9 on Windows 10

Hi. I've just installed the update. I'm doing a lot of writing on my game computer that uses my 4K TV. There are some display issues. I have a screenshot I'd like to pass along to the dev team. I am not making these img tags as the screenshots are 3840x2160 and do not play well with the forum softwa...

Re: Beta 035 Changelog

Necromagic performed on ancient thread simply to indicate that I agree with something previously stated.

I just detailed my process for backing up and syncing between multiple machines. You might find it useful:

Re: Importing bug and a question

Thanks Serenus. I'm already doing that as my pages have titles. I was hoping for a more elegant and automatic method. Emphasis on the automatic.

Importing bug and a question

Hello, Bug: I'm using Scrivener version 1. When importing a docx file from Word 2010 (originally written in Scrivener), the entire document is in bold. The same document saved as rtf from Word and then imported into Scrivener has the proper elements in bold. Question: Is there a way to get Scrivener...

Re: Feature Requests: Zip Backup

This post is an attempt to clarify what I intended in the OP. Still drinking my morning coffee so clarity may be an unreachable goal at the moment. Current Scrivener Project Scheme: A Scrivener project is maintained in a dedicated directory on a HD. Scrivener can generate a zipped copy of the projec...

Re: Feature Requests: Zip Backup

So what you are saying is that Dropbox as some sort of version control system built in? It still wouldn't be useful for me as I already use a versioning control system and my own encrypted website. Further, I live in New Zealand and we have data caps here. Traffic within N.Z. is not counted against ...

Re: Feature Requests: Zip Backup

If Scrivener used the scratch disk approach, the memory issues KB mentions in your linked thread would not be a problem. What I am suggesting is that the archiving of the project be made invisible to the user. The net effect is that if and when the user goes to do anything with the project (external...

Feature Requests: Zip Backup

Hi. I am nearly at writing nirvana with Scrivener. The main speed bumps I have are around the backup process. As such I have two requests. Also, I've possibly spotted a bug. If so, I'll post that in the bug forum. 1 - I despise the current default naming scheme for backups. Here's the possible bug -...

Re: Timelines ??

You could create a top level folder and within that create new pages whose titles are the time and the character. I did exactly that when I brought my alternate history timeline into Scrivener for my current project. It's not ideal (there are some navigation enhancements that would help), but it wor...

Re: Mysterious Placeholder Post

Question asked by someone who came to the thread late and stupidly didn't read the whole thread before posting their question which has probably already been answered. Maybe twice.

Beta 035 Minor Focusing Bug

Hi there, Making a change in the Inspector and then hiding it (ctl+sft+i) changes the focus from where it was in the Editor to the title of the document in the Editor. If you are of a mind to just start typing as soon as you exit the Inspector you will find yourself renaming your document. Cheers,
