Re: Please, test “Check for Updates” in RC17

Ok, mine is now working. I used CCleaner to make sure everything was gone in the Registry. As well as old install versions. All those were gone. And I did that before. What I did differently this time was remove the old folder from Program Files. There were files left in the folder still. It's possi...

Re: Please, test “Check for Updates” in RC17

Mine is a standard Windows install, not a VM, and is crashing on updates. I haven't been uninstalling/reinstalling for all the betas, though. Usually update through the built in stuff, until this happened. I'm going to do another uninstall and make sure everything is gone. Just in case there is some...

Re: Please, test “Check for Updates” in RC17

Quick update with some other information for you. My laptop was Win 8, upgraded to 10. But there has been a fresh install of 10 done to it since then after a HD crash. I'm only running the standard MS Anti-malware, nothing additional. I do have Malware Bytes, but it's not running usually. I only hav...

Re: Please, test “Check for Updates” in RC17

After another uninstall and cleaning things up with CCleaner, it's still quitting. That stinks. Guess it's time to turn the updates back off.

Re: Please, test “Check for Updates” in RC17

I did an uninstall/reinstall and it's stopping before I get too far. Maybe a bit longer than the last versions where it was first noticed. That said, I'm going to do another unisntall and use CCleaner to clean up any extra stuff first. Just in case there is a setting somewhere that is causing proble...

Re: Please, test “Check for Updates” in RC17

I installed over the RC16 version. When I checked for updates it quit, like it had been previously. I will be doing an uninstall/reinstall later to see if that helps.

Sorry, in the middle of my work day, so I can't dedicate tons of time yet ;)

Re: RC14 Closes after 17 Seconds

Unfortunately, I'm getting the same. I did an uninstall of v13, and installed the Hi DPI version of 14. I turned off my wifi, got it running, and turned off updates. Then turned on Wifi, and told it to check for updates. Immediate crash.

Re: Closes after 17 seconds

I can confirm that it seems to be related to updates as well. I put my computer in Airplane mode, got into Scriviener just fine. I turned off Automatic Updates and am able to reopen it with no shutdown. As soon as I told it to do a check for Updates, it crashed. I ran another with logging, opened my...

Re: Closes after 17 seconds

I've attached the log file from my install. I did the latest install from Dropbox that you linked earlier. Hope it helps find out what's going on.

Re: Closes after 17 seconds

I did an uninstall of 2,9.9.12 64 bit, cleaned up some extra stuff (old uninstalls that aren't valid) with CCleaner, and did a reinstall of RC 12. It was asking me to do the initial setup stuff, like Backup forlders. But I didn't get too far before it crashed. I haven't timed it, but roughly 17 sec....

Re: Closes after 17 seconds

I'm having this issue as well. I had to do a download install because I missed the window to do the auto update. I'm using the 64-bit version. I haven't been uninstalling any of them as I go along, so that could be part of it. Non HiDPI version.

Re: [RC 9] Error and Deleted Content from iOS

Error-wise, this sounds like it's related to the error I've mentioned: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=59467 . I haven't checked if this happens in RC 9 yet, but it did in RC 5, at least. It doesn't seem to be a common issue, though. Actually, not related, but exact...

Re: Win3 Beta / iOS version Error

Looks like this one got missed. Granted, I don't think I explained it clearly either. But I just confirmed that it's still happening in RC5. Basically, if you create a blank doc in Scriv on Windows, and open it in the iOS version and edit it, when you open it in Windows again there will be a UUID Fo...

Win3 Beta / iOS version Error

I'm running Beta 28, and the newest version of iOS. Windows 10 laptop, iPhone XR. I just noticed this one after my writing last night. There is a bug between the two versions with new documents. Here's what I did: - Create new blank Doc in Beta - Close Beta version, and open iOS version - Go to the ...
