Re: Beta 2.3 OMG what happened? [NOTED]

Okay. So I'll be patient. I still like Scrivener.

Beta 2.3 OMG what happened? [NOTED]

I downloaded and installed beta 2.3. Then I opened up my project that has been having so many problems with the margin when being compiled. When I compiled it, I still had the right hand margin messed up on parts of the document (one letter per line for several pages). I highlighted the affected lin...

Re: Beta 022 compile errors

I sent it earlier this morning my time (PDT). I have been trying to go back into the .rtf file to see if I can get it to work. Sometimes I can get your fix to work but when it does, the margins for the entire document have to be reset because for some reason the margin ruler ends up with the left ma...

Re: Beta 022 compile errors

I tried your fix and it doesn't change anything when I compile. The document still has hundreds of pages with one letter per line. So, you are telling me that I am going to have to rewrite a 340 page manuscript into a new project? it was beta 2.0 that was the first beta where I had this problem. I t...

Re: Beta 022 compile errors

I am also STILL having problems with the compiling in the novel manuscript. I still have several pages of lines with only one letter so that a 340 page document is close to 700. This was to have been fixed two betas ago. Why is it still a problem?

Re: screenplays

Once I had written a page and started editing and then adding, everything smoothed out. Things seem to be working. Except that now, sometimes when I go back to add to a paragraph, I will get all caps instead of upper and lower case letters. Also, when I want an Action, sometimes I will get everythin...

screenplays

I am trying to use Scrivener for a screenplay. I chose the screenplay format when choosing a new project. Then, as the instructions said to, I went to Format, Scriptwriting, but the only option available after that (the other two are grayed out) is script settings. The other two options did show up ...

compiling still not working for novel

I installed Scrivener beta 2.1 and I tried to compile the project using the Novel MS format option. I had reviewed the project in Scrivener and everything looked okay. Once I had compiled it, I opened up the .rtf document in Word and suddenly my file was more than twice as many pages as I expected. ...

Compiling - Novel MS format beta 2.1

Me again. I have everything set up the way the Novel MS Format explanation has it. I do not have chapter titles in the space for the Chapter Heading. i have page breaks where they are supposed to be. I double-checked between what Scrivener said was the Novel MS Format and then, after compiling, chec...

Novel Format - Title Page[BUG LOGGED]

The Title Page which used to have the table format wherein the left half would have your name, address, agent name; and the right half would have the word count and copyright date and then below would have the title of the novel now only has one long table with one row with only the word count and c...

Cool! margins are fixed; so far it hasn't crashed while editing.

I'm happy now. :)

Thank you.

scratch pad not saving upon exit[BUG LOGGED]

I don't know if this is a bug. I'm using Windows XP. I thought I would try out the scratch pad since I wanted to move some text to another folder but not until after editing the text. I had the desired text placed in the scratch pad. I closed the scratch pad and opened it again and the text was stil...

beta 1.8 crashing frequently and often

This is getting exasperating. I open Scrivener. I click on a folder. I have to click on Corkboard view, then move to another folder, make sure it is on Corkboard view, then move back to the original folder to click on Text view to get text to look like a normal printed page with the proper margins. ...

scratch pad

I used the scratch pad for the first time. Is it supposed to wipe out when Scrivener exits for whatever reason? (eg crashing) I was hoping to save some text by putting it in the scratch pad so that I could access it later. Maybe I shouldn't have done it with Scrivener crashing so frequently.
