Re: All Text Lost

Stay quiet and breathe deeply : As long as you haven't deleted the old project, your text should still be there.

And I just made a "save as" test : It works fine.
Both my projects contain the text.
There must be something that went wrong with yours.

1.7.0.3 - Many empty files

I cannot say if this is present in other versions of Scrivener, of if it is normal, or due to the switch between versions or whatever. Neither do I think that it is really a bug. Document notes are multiplied, not only due to document merge. I noticed this because I use a program to see how many fil...

Re: 1.7.0.3 - Crash on "cancel compile"

The one right to "save and exit", as I really hit "compile" by accident : I was going for "document > convert > default formatting" when this happened.

Not really reproductible.

1.7.0.3 - Crash on "cancel compile"

I just accidentally hit the compile button.
Scrivener crashed when I clicked on "cancel".

In case the minidump file might be useful, I add it right away.

Re: 1.7.0.3 - Reveal in Binder shows wrong document

There is one advantage in this, which I like very much. I just made a search to check something in another document than the one I was working on. From the "search result", I went through three different documents, and as soon as I closed the search result, I was back in my active file. : :D

1.7.0.3 - Scrivener does not open same layout as on close

It is not the first time that I notice this, but I wasn't quite sure so I did not talk about it until now. Last night I took care to close the project I'm working on with the workboard open on a global folder. Today, it opened on a scrivening of a multiple selection. I had to go back about 10 times ...

1.7.0.3 -- Scrivener can't stop saving

I'm going through a very small project using scrivening in single editor. While doing this, I auto-generate synopsis and convert some of the documents to default text style. There are less than 3000 words in the whole project, and about 100 documents, as I have made one document for each paragraph. ...

Re: 1.7.0.2 - Crash on Document merge

No, there was really nothing particular with the merge: The two small documents followed each other in the binder, and since we have that smaller issue with reversed selection showing project notes instead of document notes, I now always select them top to bottom. (I remove the empty lines from docu...

1.7.0.3 -- I just had a crash on document merge in the last beta.
It is the first time this happens. I just wanted to let you know.

1.7.0.3 - Change font size in Document Notes

Add some words in Document Notes.
Leave a line empty.
Add some more words.
Leave maybe another line empty.

Press ctrl+A to select it all.
Press ctrl+< to decrease font size.

Check font size.
The text size has changed.
The empty lines keep their size.

Try selecting your text and apply ctrl+Q (= increase indent) and you'll see that the bullets are only out of sight.

1.7.0.3 - Word count includes inspector notes

I haven't found any post about this.

Is it normal for word count to include inspector notes ?
Character count does not include them.

Edit : I meant "inspector comments"

1.7.0.3 - Number of recent projects increased ?

I have just opened several projects to move some documents from one to another. In doing this, I saw that "recent projects" showed me about 10 different projects. Well, I must say, I like that... But then they all disappeared again, keeping only five projects in the list. Now I can only gu...

1.7.0.3 - Default text style does not preserve small caps

Converting a document to default text style removes small caps, although it preserves other character formattings.

1.7.0.3 - Apparent size change on multiple selection

Three documents should be merged into one. The first document has been merged earlier with a small document coming from Word, that contained two short centered lines in small caps. I select the first document in the binder, then press ctrl key and click the two others. As soon as I click the second ...
