Re: Simplest solution to working on 2 macs: Target Disk Mode?

Actually, I do have an ethernet port on the MBAir using an adapter and I do sometimes connect via a gigabit ethernet hub. The results are good, though in practice not quite as fast as FW TD mode for large Devonthink Databases with large pdfs in them. Nice to know both methods are approved by the Lit...

Re: Simplest solution to working on 2 macs: Target Disk Mode?

I figured as much, but thanks for the reassurance.
It strikes as the easiest, most elegant and -- given the speed of the MBair's SSD even without Thunderbolt on the iMac -- fastest solution to the problem.
Cheers,
J

Simplest solution to working on 2 macs: Target Disk Mode?

I've been trying to simplify switching back and forth between my 27" iMac and 13" MacBook Air for work purposes. I'm tired of fiddling with backups, networks, iCloud, dropbox blah blah blah. Though Scrivener itself seems fairly friendly with Dropbox, Devonthink (which I use for sources) is...

Re: Highlight Text / Change Cursor and Marked Text

I recently configured a kludge that works a bit like the Circus Ponies highlighting on a multi-touch trackpad. Turning on 3-finger drag in Trackpad System Prefs allows you to select text by just dragging (no need for a click). If you end the selection with a 3 finger click mapped to Command-Shift-H ...

Auto-Generate Synopses inconsistent

I'm finding that if I select several records and use "Auto-Generate Synopses", the command executes until it hits a record without text to generate from, then fails on all subsequent records, regardless of whether they have text or not. This makes it rather difficult to select a lot of rec...

Title color reflects label color.

Would it be possible to have a pref that sets the color of text or background in scrivenings titles to match label color? I believe this would be an elegant and relatively simple way to display some crucial metadata.

Search for Icons

Hi, I'm loving Scrivener 2.0 so much that I hesitate to ask for improvements, but here goes. Would it be possible to implement search for Icons? From looking at the file architecture with Textmate, it seems that Icons are saved by name much like any other metadata. So I'm thinking that adding search...
