Are you sure that you are not making a request? Insisting is rude. It means that you feel entitled to compel the programmers to make a change to suit you in a future version of a product that you purchased the *present* version of.

Well, the spelling engines disagree.

Re: wordlists.ini

My understanding is that it is not intended to be a per-project word list; it is installation specific, and the Windows developer guidelines for newer versions of Windows specify the user's local appdata for persistent files. The Mac version uses the MacOS built-in spellcheck engine, which (as I und...

Re: Beta 21: Project Settings > Format seems unusable

On these other comments, I guess I would make observation about perils of attempting committee design, but more importantly could suggest that rather than speak to 'what is(?) and one thinks should be, oneself', attention to thoughtfully answering the need is probably your better course. This would...

Re: Beta 21: Project Settings > Format seems unusable

I do think it would be a lot clearer, as well as nicer to use, when the folders act as folders are usually considered to do, propagate such changes downwards. Then how would you handle the case where you only want to change the format for a few top-level documents that happen to have a hierarchy of...

Re: BUG: Zip archival is still faulty for large archives.

Where do you see that they replaced the zip library again since the fix for epub generation? That would have beta 20 IIRC.

Does this include the inability to right-click on the notifications icon or the ... menu on the forums pages?

Thanks in advance,

You should not need to update 1.9 before using 3.0 when it releases.

Re: lock binder order to prevent accidental reordering

Instead of assuming that KB is just dismissing you out of hand and continuing the "but please, listen to what I say even if you won't listen to anyone else, all we want is just to know that it is really not possible" kind of posts... ...perhaps consider that: 1) KB has heard that before, a...

Re: Scrivener won't open after closing without PC reboot

How far back in version updates does one have to go to avoid the "Paddle Effect?" I am a long way from home and a working version and need a solution. You can't, really, because the old license service is no longer operating. Hence the need to upgrade to the version that uses Paddle inste...

Re: [LH543] Screenplay formatting still broken??

Ok we are now at beta 21 so just wondering is there something I need to do like settings reset or spin in a circle 3 times and clap my hands to make the screenwriting module workable? I mean surely after a year and a half, 21 betas, two missed weekly betas and an official release candidate...a simp...

Re: Invalid epub bcause of ibooks

Smashwords do allow uploading of books in epub format. All of Hague Publishing's books are routinely uploaded in this manner. Relying on automatic reformatting is risky. If Smashwords have flagged the error then it is of concern. Missing the point. This is about beta software. There is a defined wo...

Re: Images

Trying to deal with compressing/uncompressing images on the fly to solve performance issues usually doesn't work. 1) You use more memory -- you have to have both the uncompressed and compressed image loaded into RAM at the same time 2) You use more CPU in order to do the conversion every time you ne...
