Controlling where new documents are added

Is there a way to change where a new document is created in a folder? Right now, when I add a new document to the drafts, it's created at the bottom. I use Scrivener for writing weekly articles, and want the newer ones I'm actively working on at the top. Is there a setting somewhere that will make n...

BUG Re: Compile settings lost on upgrade

I finally figured out where the setting were, but can't load them. This is definitely a bug. It appears the settings changed on upgrade for location. When I try to save, it is going to {USERDIR}\AppData\Local\Scrivener HQ\Scrivener\CompileSettings . I found the original settings in {USERDIR}\AppData...

Re: Compile settings lost on upgrade

I didn't save them anywhere except on the compile dialog. I tried to load them, but couldn't figure out where Scrivener saved them to. Where would they be located?

Compile settings lost on upgrade

I used the command line updater to go from Beta 1.7 to Beta 1.9. I had some custom compilation options set, but they are now all gone. So...I guess first I 'm reporting it as a bug, but also is there a way to restore them? I had some that were specifically set up for a column I write and it took a l...

Auto capitalization issues - bug or no bug?

I've been having issues with the way Scrivener auto capitalizes, and I thought at one point it was being considered a bug, but reading the most recent threads, it seems like it's not and there are just workarounds. Right now on Beta 1.7, it's auto capitalizing the first letter occurring after a peri...

Wow, Lee! You have now proven that you will continue development "come hell or high water" (literally!). Thanks for all you do.

Re: CURRENT BETA DOWNLOAD (RELEASE 1.4)

FWIW, I installed 1.4 over the top of 1.3 and the spellcheck seemed to be working right off the bat. Although one thing I did do was notice auto capitalization was still messed up (automatically capitalizing after abbreviations), so I went in and turned that option off.

Re: Unrecognized Real Word

I thought I remembered reading that, which is why I thought it was strange people were indicating they were having the dictionary learn. Guess it may work for some, but not for the unfortunate ones among us.

Re: Unrecognized Real Word

Just out of curiosity, is anyone actually able to make the learned spelling stick? Mine is still not holding the learned spelling between sessions.

The .exe I'm using is working equally well on Vista(32) and Win7(64) - there is likely to be another version?

The current version is Beta. They were referring to the final release version.

Re: New feature request: Password protect files

Another alternative, since you're talking about the backup that you save to your Dropbox, is to password protect the zip file. I don't know that zip file encryption is all that great, but it's the one place in this architecture where you can have a level of file security centered around one file. Ju...

Drag &drop problem for external references[BUG LOGGED]

I don't see any reference to this in the known bugs, so if I missed it let me know. It appears there is a bad problem on my installation of Beta 1.3. I had a file with two external references. After splitting the file, I dragged one of the external references into the new file in the Binder. That ex...

Oh, yeah, that's right. Sorry about the mix-up. Still, if you're not seeing the About in the menu, you need to update.

Re: American English?

Yes, I definitely wanted it that way. It was like that when I installed, so I was assuming it had something to do with my computer settings. If there's anything I can do to capture why, let me know!
