Well, I have just updated Scrivener and was mildly suprised to see a mobile sync button. But I was immediately annoyed to learn that this is only useful for iOS/Mac-Users still. So why was this "mouthwatering" button implemented when it is of no use to Windows and Android users?
Sure you are not a mind reader - and I am not a native speaker of English - so I thought what I had described was sufficient. Sorry about that. I will try the uninstall, redownload, reinstall procedure, thanks for guiding me to that. Thank you also for the link you provided, I'll check that, too. I ...
I work on Windows 10 (Pro, 64 bit) and am not experiencing this. Sounds like you've assured that all related files/activity is on local hard drives (HD) or solid state drives (SSD), as opposed to network, cloud/Internet, USB thumb/flash drives, etc. Other things that come to mind: - Any new or upgr...
I am using Scrivener for years now and never had such lagging while typing as in the past weeks (don't know when it first occurred). Has anybody working with Windows 10 the same problems? I have checked the forum and tried several things: * first I thought that it was caused by backing up to a netwo...

This is a pretty interesting discussion. However, the answer for my question is still open? Can I edit the name list? I would love to delete entries I do not need, or correct wrong spellings - and obviously many of my co-writers above would do so, too.
Thanks for your suggestion. However, the netbook usb does run in usb2 mode, too. The problem I describe never occurred when using the beta versions. I have changed nothing but to update to the regular (test) version on both systems. What I discovered is that while scrivener loads a process called cs...
Do you have a project set to auto-load, by any chance? (Since at least it sounds like some people here have occasionally been able to work in the program or had an earlier version where they did.) It could be the project having issues loading, such that it's causing the freeze when Scrivener starts...
Is there a way to edit the name list that comes with Scrivener? I ask this question because in the German lists (first as well as last names) there alway occur names which are definitely not "typically" German and some which are spelled wrong. I know that I could just "overlook" ...
