Re: Quick search doesn't find in document notes

sorry I mixed up Composition mode and Full Screen I think you emulated my setup correctly: my main window is Full Screen with the outliner inside, and I open a "notes" document in Composition Mode on a separate space. I switch between the two using four finger swipes, as is standard in Mac...

Re: Quick search doesn't find in document notes

Hey Amber, I put my main window in Composition mode all the time, with the toolbar hidden, with my outliner inside. In addition, I open a Full Screen document on a separate space (with the "Open composition mode in its own space" option checked), to have another big fullscreen space to wri...

Re: Quick search doesn't find in document notes

ok thanks. I like project search, the problem is each time I access it, the "compose window" gets closed so I have to re-open it again. I've reported that bug in "Search by formatting only works in Compose window", it was supposedly fixed but the fix doesn't work for me :)

Re: Search by formatting only works in Compose window

Hi Keith,
In December I pointed out a bug:

When the compose window "in its own space" is open, searching with "search in project" systematically closes it.

It still happens, even though it was supposed to be fixed in the next update. I have 3.1.3 (11945)

Thanks!
David

Quick search doesn't find in document notes

Project Search does find text in notes (if you check the option) with not Quick Search

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature ?

Increase Indent in Outliner?

Is there a way to do it? Right now the folder hierarchy indentation is quite small so in some layouts it makes it difficult to see the structure as a whole...

Outliner loses scroll position when changing layout

The outliner is my main visualisation, and I use different window->layouts to see column info. When I switch between a "condensed" layout (one line per scrivening) to a expanded one (e.g. with synopsis & custom colum info with wrapped text), Scrivener loses track and I have to scroll a...

Change "Fixed row height" ?

I turn on "fixed row height" to prevent big synopses and column contents to wreak havoc. But with fixed height, the default height is too big for me, I can't have an overview of the story.

Is there any way to change that height? couldn't find it

Re: Exporting Column Text only without new lines between documents - is it possible?

thanks a lot for the detailed answer! actually I'm exporting my columns as a .txt file and then using a post-processing perl script to do replacements in the text file. I'm putting it here in case it can be useful (#!/usr/bin/perl has to be included in the "shell" text box) open my $fh, '<...

Re: Project Replacements don't apply to Custom Columns

actually in some cases it replaces, in some cases it doesn't. sometimes I add just a blank line after, and it stops replacing, either I'm missing something or project replacement on columns is extremely erratic? Here is an example project with the columns export included, where the bug appears: noth...

Project Replacements don't apply to Custom Columns

Exporting Column Text only without new lines between documents - is it possible?

I'm trying to export the text content of a custom column "all at once" without inserting new lines in between. (without the text of the document, without titles, without anything I've tried tweaking the custom separators into "custom" and leaving it empty, it still ads new lines ...
