Re: Scapple wraps to new line after opening quotation mark

Not related to font -- see below. Also, Swedish keyboard dos not matter per se, unless "correct typographical quotes" are on (and the active language is Swedish.) In fact, copy this text as-is into a note in Scapple and resize until the quoted text wraps: These are the Swedish typographica...

Re: Scapple wraps to new line after opening quotation mark

I absolutely sure. I think what is happening here is I am Swedish — meaning that the standard fo opening and closing are the same typographical glyph, namely the one that looks like two commas but in the air (see screenshot below). My computer converts straight quotes into correct ones as I type, wh...

Re: Constant Freezes (beachballs)

A very old thread, I know, but nonetheless: Just downloaded Scapple to my brand new 8-core MacBook Pro — and I repeatedly keep experiencing minute-long freezes (where the entire Mac is held up — no switching apps, no opening menus — not even a spinning ball until after a couple of frustrated efforts...

Re: Help! Font size suddenly changed to an unreadable miniscule size and can't change it back

I'm on mac, but here's a suggestion to try: Might you have inadvertently hit the zoom button? On mac, cmd+< and cmd+> zooms the text in and out in the editor. It does get me every time, because to my knowledge those buttons are meant for cycling open app window/documents in every other Mac app I own...

Re: Color of Binder's "current document indicator"?

It looks as though you have turned the brightness of labels up in the Preferences True! Although not by THAT much (I like to have the colors stand out)... :) But yes, a stroke would be great! Because there's also another visibility issue when using labels in different colors: Even if you turn the l...

Color of Binder's "current document indicator"?

Short version: Can the color of the "current editor document indicator" be changed? If not, might that be doable? Skärmklipp 2018-11-06 09.49.20.png Longer version: In the binder below, I am currently writing in one of the documents. Which one? Skärmklipp 2018-11-06 09.53.54.png Needless t...

Re: Scrivener manual not searchable?

If you close then open the PDF, it should be fine. I tore my hair out a bit, but once I did that, I haven't had any failures. Ibland hatar jag dator. Hah! You're right! It's a bit hit-and-miss for me: Sometimes I get it to work and sometimes not. I think the logic may be that every time I open the ...

Re: Scrivener manual not searchable?

did you try to load the one from the Website? Would be interesting to see if that makes any difference. Yup, rebooted and all, still no luck. But interestingly — yes: Downloading from the link you provided, the search works perfectly! See below. Only spottable difference is different naming of the ...

Scrivener manual not searchable?

Okay, hit me. It has to be me, since there are no other posts about this. But when I open the Scrivener manual from the help menu and it launches into Preview... ...it opens fine enough, only completely and utterly not searchable. Whatever text I enter to search for, preview comes back empty-handed....

Re: Urgent: Scrivener on iOS crashes on Dropbox sync

Have you tried unlinking and then relinking Dropbox, as suggested in the other thread? Thank you — I have now. It does feel a bit flaky, however — I obviously had to KEEP the ipad versions, right? In order to sync it back later? My first worry is the fact that project titles are shown in a quite la...

Urgent: Scrivener on iOS crashes on Dropbox sync

Sorry for opening a new thread, I know there's another one open on the same issue. Seeing as it is unanswered, I'm opening a new one in hopes for a quick answer. I have a quite large document that I have been working with on my Mac for years, saving and editing over time. From time to time I also ed...

Re: Version 3: Curly quotes follow Scrivener's UI language, not system settings

Why not use it, if that would solve your problems? I am, right now. But would rather not. Again, this is not the place to reprimand anyone for their translation choices. But a problem that will persist no matter how perfect a translation turns out, is the problem with looking for help on a command ...

Re: Version 3: Curly quotes follow Scrivener's UI language, not system settings

Sorry for bumping this, but since my original question has scrolled off the page without answer, I would like to try and ask it again in fewer words...: Is there a way to keep Scrivener's UI in its original language, but still have it autocorrect curly quotes into what I set in System Settings? The ...

Version 3: Curly quotes follow Scrivener's UI language, not system settings

Hi, Just installed version 3 — love what I've seen so far — really looking forward to mastering what will surely be a new workflow with bookmarks and all! BUT unfortunately, I seem to have run into a small but important problem: I am Swedish, but have set the Scrivener UI to English (I have to admit...
