Re: Screenplay PDF output problems

follow up to this problem - I do not know if I know this for sure, but here's what I noticed when I was setting up output. When I selected Courier Prime or Courier Final Draft, the 'baseline' of the font shifted up one or two pixels. When I seleced Courier New, the baseline was lower. I suspect (but...

Re: Screenplay PDF output problems

Interestingly enough, when I went back and changed all the formatting in the document itself (in Scrivener) to Courier New (I was using Courier Prime for drafting), and then changed *all* the output to Courier New, including headers/footers and the individual parts, it all works fine. I suspect that...

Screenplay PDF output problems

Hey there, I have a problem when I output/compile a screenplay as PDF. I've tried setting other fonts (Courier New, Courier Prime) as the output, but the same thing happens At the bottom of the page, the very tip of the next page's first line appears. That is, a series of dots, as if the ascenders f...

Scrivener won't start

I have Scrivener installed on my laptop (Windows 7 64 bit, SP1, Dell Latitude). I've been using Scrivener successfully on this for at least a year, and I've been using Scrivener in general for at least five years. I've written three novels and several other long form works that I've published both a...

Thank you! I appreciate the help.

Weird error. I can't see the results of where exactly the problem is.

String conversion was inexact

I am getting this error when compiling, and I don't know what it means: Warning(core):W1002: String conversion was inexact. I am compiling for a .mobi file (for Kindle), and as far as I can tell the Kindle file works fine. Any clue what this means? I searched the forums and didn't see anything about...

Re: Scrivener and Dropbox and locked files

I was not able to fix the problem by the usual methods--copying the project to a new folder, deleting conflicted files, and so on. Just about every project would not open. I solved the problem by uninstalling Scrivener, then downloading and re-installing. I backed up my configuration files (template...

Re: Scrivener and Dropbox and locked files

I've copied the entire project folder to a new one (using the Save as copy command in Scrivener) and that has not solved the problem. There is something on my home laptop that is locking up the project so it won't open.

Scrivener and Dropbox and locked files

I have two laptops I use to work on my Scrivener projects--I trade back and forth between my home and my office. Both have the same updated version of Scrivener for Windows. Recently I could not open a project on my home laptop. In fact, no existing project would open, but I could create a new proje...

Re: Keyword problem fixed in a day WONDERUL

Yes, it was a nice, quick fix. I was in the middle of writing a new work and was puzzled that what I *thought* would work didn't. I thought maybe I had remembered the functionality wrong.

I was *very pleased* at how quickly they responded to my feedback.

Re: My Book Is Now On Sale!

Oh geez...I'm posting from my hotel room while I'm in Europe and that link to the Kindle might show a "VAT tax"--you don't pay that if you order/purchase from the States.

My Book Is Now On Sale!

I finished my book, entirely created and edited using Scrivener, and it is on sale at Amazon both as a paperback and as a Kindle version. I have the epub version ready for upload to Barnes & Noble, and I'm working to get the printed version available at Barnes & Noble bookstores as well. I'm...

Don't put "Chapter XX" on the final chapter

I'm using Scrivner 1.2.3.0 23-Jun-12 edition, compiling a Kindle book I have a book of 25 chapters and an Afterword chapter. I'd like that chapter to say "Afterword" and not "Chapter 26". In the TOC it says "Afterword," but on the page title for that page it says "...

Yes, I've been busy registering...

Just wanted someone to know that it's legit that it looks like I'm registering multiple copies... I have a PC Desktop with Scrivener. Yesterday I bought a new PC laptop and installed Scrivener prior to giving my PC Desktop to my wife. (Since she doesn't use it, I uninstalled it from that PC.) I disc...
