Re: unable to verify your activation for more then two months

Still ongoing, now with the three-of-six month message: ScrivenerError3months.png I shut off my antivirus/firewall (Avast) just in case, even though it should be letting it through. I then ran Paddle.exe, then as admin ran ScrivenerLog.bat, which gave the following: Debug: "Tue 1. Oct 14:27:10 ...

Re: unable to verify your activation for more then two months

Same here: I get the "2 months" message intermittently, other than that Scrivener is largely behaving itself as it has done since... god, how long has it been? I used to bug-hunt in the original Windows beta! And other than those bugs, which I was there to help hunt down, I haven't had a s...

Re: Fullscreen

This is happening for me also if I have more than one document selected at once. Also, a green progress bar appears and continually flashes between two or more values, never completing. Sometimes the bottom of the higher document/s is cut off as well, so it looks as though I've lost half my text. I ...

Re: Scrivener for Windows now available for *pre-order*

I am so pre-ordering now! A great many, many thankyous! :D I've been using this thing non-stop (and submitting bugs when I find them, but I haven't run into any for a good while...) since last NaNo and it - and you guys - are absolutely the best!

Me too. Well, after I hit it, when it tells me I'm running 1.7 and gives me a "close" option, and I click that. Running the liveupdate with Scrivener closed works, though. At least, it's downloading at the moment.

Re: USER POLL - WHAT SHOULD DEFAULT ZOOM BE?

Shouldn't the default zoom size be such that at 100%, 12pt Time New Roman (for example) looks exactly the same as in most other Windows writing applications, like OpenOffice and Word, as Devin said? I'm going for 125-135% on that basis, it being about as close as mine seems to want to get.

Re: Learned words[BUG LOGGED]

Same problem as RSMcGowan here - learned spellings persist, but every time I add one, I have to recheck the spelling to remove the underlines. Downloading the new installer now... ...A "dirty" install without uninstalling my previous version of 1.6 does not fix this issue. Uninstalling... ...

Re: Crash on "Find"

I can't make it crash this way, even by searching the whole composite document (some 60,000 words). (I can reproduce the known bug "Crash when using "Find" (Ctrl+F)", though!) However, it is displaying some odd behaviour in that while it will find and highlight the chosen word in...

Re: Block Insertion, etc.

Of course! I hope you didn't take my OO comment as a complaint, I'd be more than happy with the program even if there were no import options at all and I had to manually copy/paste everything in myself! Ability to import OpenOffice and other documents is a VERY low priority - more of an unexpected l...

Re: CURRENT BETA DOWNLOAD (RELEASE 1.3)

I've downloaded what is apparently Beta 3 yet when I start up Scrivener, it informs me that I'm about to use Scrivener Beta 1.0, running out 12th December. Any explanations? Do I need to uninstall Beta 1.0? If so, how? I tried and Win 7 wiped out my whole Scrivener install. I get this message too. ...

Re: New? info on lag issue

Don't know if it's useful or not, but I just thought I'd let you know that my lag is getting slowly but steadily worse again as the total word count of my project increases. None of my various subdocuments are much over 4,000 words - most a lot less - but my total non-research count is now 24,000, a...

Re: New? info on lag issue

Just began experiencing a little lag for the first time, at about the time my main documents hit around 14,000 words in total. (There's not a lot in my Research folder, so the bulk of the words are in there.) From the timing (basically whenever I paused for a moment and then kept writing), I estimat...

Re: Will spell check find double spaces?

*picky, picky* Hopefully this will be possible to disable without turning off the rest of spell-check, or set to ignore two spaces if they follow a full stop/question mark/etc.? I'm of the school of thought that there should always be two spaces after the end of a sentence! (I always thought everyon...

An Online Mention

Found this little article while nosing about for information on e-readers: http://www.pcpro.co.uk/blogs/2010/11/08/scrivener-a-word-processor-that-makes-you-smile/ ...and I may add that I agree with it 110%: Scrivener is great. Even in beta. Even that one time it ate my words. I'll be buying it as s...
