Re: Adding Dates/Times/Places/Actors (on-stage/off-stage)/Internal Values changes

I hope more people respond. First, don't get overwhelmed with all the details of Story Grid. I stick to the five key elements for the first draft. I place these elements in the Synopsis box. I have seen very advanced methods using Scrivener, but I like to keep it simple. https://imgur.com/a/TKklobk

Re: Stuck with "pieces"

I know I am responding to a very old thread, but I feel like throwing in my two cents. I wrote a book, ~70K words and published it. During this time, I was listening to The Story Grid podcast. When I started my second book (~23k words) I hired a Story Grid editor (weekly review and phone call) to he...

Re: Give template to another write so they can apply it to existing work

My son is in the final stages of completing his first book. He wants to use the same settings I have for book size, margins, etc. that I used on my last book in Scrivener. His book is in Scrivener in the default config with each chapter in a document. Dragging pages over isn’t a big deal but he does...

Give template to another write so they can apply it to existing work

Can a template or some other export of a Scrivener format be exported so another writer can apply that setup to their existing work? Or do I need to create a blank template and hand it over so they can drag their work into it? If the second, it would be nice if a future version allowed us to apply t...

Re: iPad OS Support for Trackpad/mouse

Not only that, but what are the chances iPad OS will be on par with the Mac version? The singularity is quickly approaching.

How do you: Insert a preview of the next book in the series?

I want to insert some chapter to the next book in the series for my reader. How do you handle this? Does it go in the back matter? Do you insert the chapters after the end of the current book in the binder and reset chapter numbering?

Compile Code to use in Synopsis for Word Count

When I compile an outline to MS Word/PDF, I have mine setup to include the Synopsis. It would be nice to have a Compile Code that would export the word count for that text file.

Understood and you are not alone. RapidWeaver website files have the same issues.

Thanks again and I can't wait for the release.

S2.0 - Will it play nice with iDisk / DropBox?

I currently keep my project file backed up in a zip file on my iDisk. When I want to work on it I unzip and work on it then back it up once again.

With 2.0 coming out will iDisk / DropBox support be improved to wear we don't have to worry about the back up?

Re: Technical Writing

LaTexiT it is then. Thanks for the heads up on BasicTeX. I probably should learn to format my documents in LaTex anyway, I am not sure why but why not! :-) Thanks so much. I think I am going to get the equations formatted and then copy that text into Scrivener. Then I guess I have to run it through ...

Re: Technical Writing

I am raising this thread from the dead because I use Scrivener for my writing. I write technical articles. The time has come where I am going to need to put up some formulas that have square roots, integrals, and all kinds of nasty things math. Can anyone recommend something for me to use? I have ze...

Where is the "What's new in 1.5 page?"

I am a long time user, I am trying to find the page that tells you what is new in 1.5 compared to the version I just replaced which was the most current at the time before 1.5 came out. <-- Can't you tell I am a writer?
