Re: Session Target Time Reset Not Working

Ran into this issue too. Shut my computer down before midnight yesterday, reopened Scrivener this morning and my word count from yesterday's writing session was still showing.

Re: Thank you developers for all you are doing for a 1 time purchase price!

Keith has explicitly said that Scrivener is deliberately priced to make sure it's within reach of beginning writers, students, and others who may not have a lot of resources to throw at it. Katherine I definitely appreciate this. I have a low income and can't afford to spend a lot of money on, well...

Re: Scrivener or Word???

I definitely recommend switching to Scrivener. I wrote in Microsoft Word almost exclusively for 21 years, save for short periods of time where I didn't have access to it and needed to use Libre Office instead - I used the trial for less than a month before deciding to make the switch. I've transferr...

Re: What Version are you using for NaNoWriMo?

I'm not able to vote either, but I plan to use v3. Hopefully the full version will have been released by the end of October, or failing that the beta will have been extended. *crosses fingers*

Re: A great program marred by critical flaws in core functionality.

I would add that Scrivener 1.9 can't do a simple entire document word count or search . I just did both in 1.9. It was quite easy, actually. http://u.cubeupload.com/ithendra/scrivwcsmall.png Word count of the manuscript for my longest WIP. 103,927 words. http://u.cubeupload.com/ithendra/scrivsearch...

Re: any news on Windows 3 version?

I remember there was a conversion involved, in migrating to the beta, and so I wonder if I will be able to go back to Ver. 1 after 15 Sep for that project? Version 3 uses a different filetype to that used by version 1.9, so you won't be able to go directly back to v1.9 with the project you're using...

Re: Commitment & responsibility...

I'm also very happy with my purchase. As am I. Bought my Windows licence solely on the basis of the current version, without even looking at v3. I'm very happy with v1.9 and would be content to use it for years to come - it's miles better than what I've been using for the last 20 years. My feeling ...

Re: Scrivener 1.9 and 3

I have both 1.9 and the 3 beta installed side by side. 3 is installed in a separate "Scrivener Beta" folder, and I often have both 1.9 and 3 open at the same time without any conflicts. I've 'saved as' any project I want to use in 3 so that I still have a copy that works in 1.9.

Re: Windows Beta 19-21 Crashing

Compiled both a chapter and the full manuscript of my longest WIP - no crashes. It froze on the compile of the full manuscript but I suspect that's because it's pretty long. Running RC1 on Windows 10.

Re: Glitch with copy+paste

I've been using Notepad as an intermediary for copying and pasting since I started using Scrivener (I use it for Word as well), but that doesn't fix the issue. However activating "Show invisibles" did fix it temporarily - as soon as I clicked another document within the file and then click...

Glitch with copy+paste [BUG LOGGED]

I've encountered what I feel could be a pretty serious bug with the Windows beta - whenever I copy and paste a huge chunk of text into any of the text windows, a great deal of the pasted text won't appear where it should. Additionally, whenever I scroll down the page with the arrow keys, the cursor ...
