I posted a report a month ago on problems with non functioning Scrivener links on iOS. Basically internal links do not work as they should - clicking on them does not move the focus to the appropriate document. All I get is a set of options including "open" but clicking that has no effect. So far I have one comment from someone who had the same problem and NO RESPONSE from the development team. This is far below the standard I expect from the team. I paid for an app which does not work as it should. I need either advice on what I am doing wrong or a date when this will be corrected

While the L&L team do monitor and certainly respond to posts on these forums, the most direct route for reporting & getting help with bugs is to send an email to the appropriate address on the Support page: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/support.php

The few times I've had to do that, they've responded within a day or so.

As noted, we are a very small group and couldn’t monitor the entire forum—plus we’re in the middle of preparing for a large scale launch so our focus is a bit inward at the moment, sorry for that.

Now as to what you are referring to: one double-taps on links from edit mode in Scrivener. Single-tap is used to position the cursor on account of how the text editor is provided by Apple. It’s a primarily a text editor, rather than a browser, so it puts priority on editing—just like how in many word processors you do not merely click on a link, but hold down a key like Ctrl while clicking. From what I can see with a few quick tests in the tutorial, it all seems to be working precisely as designed. It seems we neglected to document that in the tutorial, I’ve made a note to look into that.

As for the rest, I’m not sure what you mean by a list of options when clicking, maybe you mean long-tapping. That’s an iOS thing it looks like to me, it provides some copy and routing options for the URL. It offers “open”, which is really inappropriate since it doesn’t know how to open those kinds of links. We might be able to disable it, but it might not be possible to do so without removing that behaviour for regular links as well.

Thank you for the advice - obviously it is a documentation issue not a bug now I have tried your advice. I appreciate that you are busy with preparing Scrivener 3 but if you cannot monitor the bug part of the forum, it would be helpful to have the purpose of the forum made clearer and the options clarified when the forum does not provide an answer.

Regards

I was going to point you to the Support section on the main L&L page, but -- surprise! -- it doesn't actually state clearly that the forums are not always monitored and to contact support via email if you need a timely response.
