I’m more interested in a composition mood...

As so many have requested, the composition mood in vers 3 is definitely moodier!

As far as I know, selling composition moods is still highly illegal in most parts of the world.

pete66 wrote:As everyone else, I'm really looking forward to Scrivener 3 - the new features that have been blogged about look fantastic! Apologies if I've missed it, but one feature I haven't seen mentioned is the full-screen composition mode. I don't have any complaints about the way the current version looks and works...just wondered if it was being changed at all?

I don't use it much, but as far as I can tell it's unchanged in the beta, except for very minor changes to the main editor that carry over, such as tweaks to Typewriter Scrolling.

"You can almost smell the anticipation here at Scrivener 3.0 Mission Control, Carol. We're just hours away from launch and... one second... I have just been advised that there has been a last minute crew change. Lead engineer, Hamford Hamster II, a well-known veteran from the Scrivener 2 launch, has been pulled from the cockpit suffering from what appears to be a severe groin injury."

"Thanks, Bob. That is an unsettling turn of events. We all know how critical the Hamster family has been in previous Scrivener launches. If the engineer was not able to continue his duties during the launch, the result would have been catastrophic. For those of you old enough to remember, it was Hamford Hamster The First who manned the wheel during the original Scriver 1.0 days."

"Carol, we just received confirmation that it will be Hamford "Hammy" Hampster III who will be taking his father's place in the wheel for this historic launch. That will be three consecutive Scrivener launches all powered by Hamsters."

"Indeed Bob, far better to talk of hamsters than guinea pigs at a launch event."

Version 2 is gone from the Mac AppStore. No version 3 in sight.

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait...

As a practical question, will it be possible to migrate preferences from Scriv 2 into Scriv 3? Or is that a ridiculous question, given Scriv 3 is such a significant overhaul ...

Most likely, S3 reads the S2 settings, and uses those. I can tell you after S3 is launched.. ;)

And in the mean time, I have time to upgrade my work machine to macOS Sierra, so I can actually run Scrivener 3...
