Hello,

When creating a new box, if the box is touching the edge of Scapple window, typing text in the box will automatically stop when arriving to the box length size.
It should instead do one of the following 1) make the box length bigger as typing and moving the Scapple window focus to the right 2) adapt the box in height and not refocusing the Scapple window.

How to reproduce this problem:
1) In Scapple, double click really close to the right limit of the Scapple window
2) A box is created
3) Start typing
4) Typing will stop when text length > distance of box left corner from Scapple right window limit

Thank you

I don’t think I’m following the description of the problem, because when I try what you suggest, the result seems reasonable and useful to me. If I start a new note on the right side edge of the window, it essentially acts no different to how it would if the note where in the middle—the main difference being that the window will automatically pan as you type, to keep the cursor in view so you can see what you’re typing. It does word-wrap at a certain point, but that is how it always works, and is dictated by the default new note width setting in preferences.

I don’t see any conditions were typing stops. What would you define as stopping? Does the note de-select so that you are no longer in edit mode?

Hi,

It seems that in order to reproduce the problem, the zoom should be set to a certain amount.
See attached picture of my Scapple.
So I created this box and I start writing.
When typing "C", the Scapple window don't readapt itself.
I get a sound of "typing out of a text area" sort of thing; the box is left selected.

To be more precise, after reading your answer, I tried again. At first there was no problem.
So I moved the zoom bar on the bottom of the Scapple window.
And now the problem is systematic, for whatever zoom I select.

Thank you.

Excellent, I was able to reproduce the problem with your instructions. I'll get a bug report written up for it. Thanks!
