I often make footnotes with shorthand citations while I'm writing, then go back and fill them in later. Including footnotes in the "Find" would allow me to do this efficiently, rather than trying to spot everytime I've referenced "Document 12" or some such. "Find" or "Find and replace" would allow me to see where I've referenced a particular source and make editing footnotes MUCH easier. Is there any way this feature could make it into v3 for Windows?

The Edit ▸ Find ▸ Find by Formatting... command should already be doing what you describe (sans replace, but that’s far more difficult for us to provide; no immediate plans for that).

Refer to §20.1.4, Find by Format and Text Function, pg. 212 in the user manual, for further information.
