Unable to sync since Monday

I think the latest iOS update broke my setup. I am running Scrivener on an iPad mini iOS 9.3.5 and a Windows 10 laptop. I have four projects that won't sync/crash Scrivener every time I have tried to sync from my iPad since this Monday (12.04.17). If I open any of those projects on my laptop, there are multiple files are missing. So I fix that issue and upload, but then my iPad won't open the amended .scriv file because it says the file was created with an older version of Scrivener even though both the mobile and laptop apps are up to date,

I have copies of the texts in .pdf and other formats, but it's going to be a serious PITA if i have to recreate my .scriv files via copy/paste. We are talking 1200+ smaller files :cry:
