Having a few issues

Hello. The main issue I'm having is everytime I make a new chapter folder in the part one section of my novel the folder has one of my character templates already in it. This didn't start until earlier today and I'm not sure what caused it. I could just delete the template everytime I open a new document but I don't want to have to do that.

The second issue I have is that for some of my scenes in a folder there is no word count. The bottom just says "0". Same for character count. If I highlight the text I can see the word and character count. It doesn't do this for every scene.

Third issue is I'd like to have double space be the default setting for new documents. I've looked for a way to do this but have been unsuccessful.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I can only help with #3. Tools > Options > Editor gives you a dialog for setting up default formatting for new documents. Use the controls in the dummy text area, e.g., the 1.0x dropdown for spacing. Lots of other good stuff can be done there. Hope that helps.

Hey Joerchy,

Have you managed to find a solution for the first problem by any chance?

I happen to have the same issue, and In my case it's an old template that isn't even inside the project anymore that's "stuck".
