I am writing a project in Scrivener3. I have been putting into Scrivener through the "insert footnote" menu item. When I compile, I check off I check off "export inspector footnotes as endnotes." :

The compilation gives me an error message in Microsoft Word that the file is corrupt and can't be opened.

When I try to open the file anyway,

I find that the doc file has just pasted all the footnotes right into the text, making no distinction between main text and footnotes. It's unusable. What can I do to 1) make the document compile without corruption and 2) make the footnotes come out right?

Hello,

Can you please zip up the affected project and send it to us at mac.support AT literatureandlatte.com so that we can take a look and try to work out what's going on?

Thanks and all the best,
Keith

Any update on a fix for this issue? I am also getting a similar error message.

As far as I know, we never received a sample file, so have never been able to reproduce the problem. The op, mnamabe, emailed us with the same question he posted here; we asked for a sample project but never heard back. So if you have a project that is showing the problem, please zip it up and send it to us at mac.support AT literatureandlatte.com, along with instructions on how to reproduce the problem, so that we can take a look.

Thanks and all the best,
Keith
