On page 560 Convert rich text to markdown
But if both can do a think, like create a text link to a web page, then we strive to convert it.

In section 15.6.5 ImagePlaceholderTags

Since they are text based, they can be hinged upon compile settings, and thus you could images into one document format but not another if you pleased.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by hinged. Is this supposed to be "changed using compile settings"?

Meanwhile, I need to work out why headings are copying without spaces!

I mean that metaphorically, in the same sense you could say “the outcome of the vote hinges upon when the vote takes place”. It is perhaps a touch too idiomatic, I’ll use plainer English.

The link should be fixed—in fact I’ll tentatively say all links should be fixed in the next revision. I did a big sweep for that after being alerted to there being some broken links throughout.

In appendix A.4 page 687, this snuck through

Writing Tools ▸ Look Up in Dictionary and Thesaurus Sends the cur- rently selected word, or the word that the cursor is currently lo- cated within, to Apple’s Dictionary application. You can also use <!--{\sctrl}--><!--{\scmd}-->D to do quick spot-checks, or use a “force click” action on compatible hardware.

and this on page 398

If you are looking for a way to batch assign styles from existing formatting, refer to [Updating a Document Without Styles to Use Styles].

and again on 829

You might also want to read over [Updating a Document Without Styles to Use Styles].

On page 415

As with many modern apps, Scrivener which automatically saves automatically as you work.

Those two problems have been fixed (and the snapshots introduction in general has been reworked and better proofed).

I’d hold off on reporting any broken links, as mentioned above:

The preserve formatting typo has been fixed there, and also in the What's New section.

The rogue table formatting is fixed.

Little thing, but in:

The Basics > Get Oriented > Main Interface > The Inspector > Comments & Footnotes

The tip:
Tip: If the comments aren’t open in the inspector and you don’t want to show them, Cmd-click on a comment or footnote to open it in a popover instead of in the inspector.

I think it should be Alt-click not Cmd-click (at least Cmd-click doesn't work for me, but Alt-click does, and I don't think I adapted any settings).

Best

In the next update this will accept either shortcut, as there were some problems with Option/Alt.

** Pickiest Amendment Competition Entry**

Section 18.2.1 in the box 'Want to get back to default red'

The default annotation colour in the swatch is actually 'Red Annotation', not 'Annotation Red'.

I found this by accident, honest: I don't really comb through the manual in that much detail...

Sorry...

In section 10.1.1 "Linking Documents Together", in the subsection titled "Links are Circular", the 3rd paragraph in that section is just "<$include>".
FKA: robertdguthrie
AKA: R Dale Guthrie, Robert, Mr. Obscure, and "Oh, it's you again".
