Hello,

Because I increasingly write the same material for numerous formats (including epub, PDF, Wordpress), I often write using MultiMarkdown syntax.

I do all my writing in Scrivener, and have done so for many years. I have been doing a lot of research into how to easily (i.e. ideally in one or two automated steps) convert MMD from in Scrivener into epub. I've found many articles online where people generously explain the process that works for them in going from MMD in Scrivener over to epub (using Scrivener's Compile feature). But none of the instructions I have found give any mention to the handling of MMD headings (e.g. those denoted by #, ##, ###, etc.).

Following the advice found in those articles I've managed to get to the point where I can almost produce an epub file directly from MMD in Scrivener, in one automated step. It's just the headings (#, ##, ###) that leave me stuck.

As I've already spent the better part of a day looking into this issue, I thought it best I ask here on the forums. Is there a way to go from MMD in Scrivener over to an epub directly? Or am I going to have to do it in multiples steps, perhaps involving compiling to MMD and then using Pandoc to generate the epub?

Thank you,

Jonathan

There are a few prior discussion that you may find useful, apologies if you’ve already been through them:
