Sorry, suavito, can you clarify? If I drag a document from one project to another, everything works fine - what exactly do you mean?
Thanks!
Keith

When dragging a document from the draft folder in the binder of one project to the draft folder in the binder of a newly created other project the document arrived empty in the new project.

I tried to reproduce this a moment ago (not with another new project but with the earlier created one) but now everything is fine.

The console is open now and it shows for the period of no more than five minutes when the incident with the empty document happend this message for about a dozen of times:

Aug 23 00:13:57 iMac /Applications/Scrivener.app/Contents/MacOS/Scrivener: CGContextSetStyle: invalid context
…
Aug 23 00:18:35 iMac /Applications/Scrivener.app/Contents/MacOS/Scrivener: CGContextSetStyle: invalid context

I quit Scrivener then and opened it again to try to reproduce whatever has happened before and this time the console displays no message whatsoever and the dragging works properly.

I have an Intel machine, if that's important. And the document contained just a few lines of text typed in Scrivener, no formattings or anything else added to the default.
Tried working once. It didn’t work out. Too much like work.

When I'm in split screen, the View->Layout->Swap Documents menu item is greyed out. Should this be? Nothing showed up in Search.

Thanks for this great program.

Suavito - very strange. I'm investigating that console error, though I think it should be harmless. Could it be that the text document you were dragging wasn't saved? It is worth noting that when dragging from one project to another - the same as when exporting - it is the underlying RTFD file that gets copied. Thus, if you have a blank document, then type something, then drag it to another project without forcing a save or giving Scrivener chance to save the file, the file that appears in the other project will be blank simply because the underlying RTFD file of the original - which is what has been copied into the new project - has yet to be saved with any text (more accurately, until the file is saved, there will be no underlying RTFD file to copy). Do you think that is what could have happened?

David - could it be that you have one of the documents locked in place (the header bar will be pink if so)? If one document is locked in place, "Swap Documents" is greyed out.

All the best,
Keith

Yup, that did it. Thanks.

Is there a short list of just the new features in 1.1 beta? I've tried to digest the Read Me document, but it's epic, and packed with items about fixed bugs in features I don't even use or changes in under-the-hood issues I don't understand. I'm happy to try out some of the new stuff but first I need a clearer and simpler explanation of what it is first.

I'm afraid not - that's one of the things I have left to do before releasing it officially.
Best,
Keith

Typewriter icon PNG file and Binder icon PNG file

Both are 256x256 so can be sized down

Hope that helps

I agree – just beautiful!

But, how will they look at 15 per cent size, which is how they're going to be displayed? All that lovely detail will be lost, and will they retain their 'icon-ness' at that size?

Thank you, Wock! I've already gone with Syntheticore's folder icon but your typewriter icon is a massive improvement over the current one (the folder icon is lovely too but it isn't as clear when at 32x32):

Thanks again and all the best,
