Admit it, you just want to play with Time Machine. :D

Just for the record, after a serious weekend of coding, Scrivener now seems to be working beautifully on the latest Leopard seed, so as of 1.02 - hopefully, and pending future updates to Leopard before the official release - Scrivener should work fine when it comes time to upgrade. :)

I can already see that 2.0 will be Leopard-only. :) (Don't worry, that is a year or two away, by which time we'll be waiting for Lion or Tabby or whatever...)

Best,
Keith

That's really great Keith. Are you gonna tell us what to expect in 102? Or do we have to wait?

All the best,

T

Also can you hint (I don't want you to compromise your NDA) about whether there are any text engine improvements?

In practice, there is.

There's still a lot on my list for 1.02, so it won't be out for a couple of weeks, but so far it is mainly bug fixes and Leopard compatibility...
All the best,
Keith

Keith, you still haven't answered my original question - is 1.02 going to be Leopard only or will it also work in Tiger?

Sorry dagaz, missed the original question. I think you will agree that it would be slightly insane if I released a 1.02 version that only supports Leopard, given that Leopard isn't even out yet. :) "Hey guys, here is an update - and none of you can use it! Bu-ha-ha-haaa!"

No, 1.02 is bug-fixes and enhancements for Tiger, with the added benefit that it works just as well on Leopard (whereas 1.01 is very buggy on Leopard). So when 1.02 comes out, you can download it and install it on Tiger, and then upgrade to Leopard (whenever it comes out) safe in the knowledge that Scrivener will go on working (whereas if Leopard comes out tomorrow, 1.01 would not work very well on it).

Hope that makes sense and answers your questions - basically, 1.02 is about making sure that Scrivener works on both Tiger and Leopard. 2.0 may be Leopard-and-above only, but that is another year or two away. 1.x releases should all be Tiger-compatible (though don't quote me on that if we're still on 1.x releases in a year's time :) ).

Best,
Keith

Thanks, Keith. That answers the original question quite nicely. :)
