Re: Broken Captions for Binder–Linked & Embedded Images

I’m aware of equation handling, but with this kind of rich text workflow, if you are going to be taking advantage of this capability wouldn’t you not want to put these into an Equation style, or maybe even a section type for them? Never mind the utility of doing so, you aren’t going to want $$^{ix}=...

Re: Reveal in Finder Icon? Duplicate Binder?

If you insist. :) I’ve always liked how the two panes can do whatever they need to do at the moment, be it a PDF file or an outline—but if you’d rather a stricter approach try the “Open Non-Group items in Other” option at the bottom of the Binder Affects submenu. That’ll redirect single-item clicks ...

Re: Label colours in Binder in Scrivener 3

You still have full control over the label colours, you don’t have to stick with the defaults. I prefer a little more saturation as well; the approach I take in my default starter project is to have a bunch favourites already listed with generic filler names, ready to be pressed into use: http://www...

Re: Broken Captions for Binder–Linked & Embedded Images

But Scrivener escapes everything, both square and curly brackets, so no type of citation will survive the “convert rich text” onslaught, nor will any maths or other features that MMD / Pandoc supports that RTF doesn’t. For the former part, is that not the desired result? In fact escaping these is p...

Re: Scrivener version of User Manual

Argh! Yes. I’m having to balance time between an onslaught of support and getting this ready for download. It has been a fair amount of time though and I probably should just push through and get it ready. The main thing is that I wanted to document it’s construction, since it uses a rather broad ar...

Re: Composition AND corkboard

I think it is possible (don’t have the equipment to verify), though you would need multiple physical monitors to have composition mode and a corkboard available all at once. In the Behaviors: Composition Mode preference pane, you can target up to four different screens (as denominated by macOS), and...

Re: Broken Captions for Binder–Linked & Embedded Images

Well that’s not a bad point—though I tend to see curly brackets being used more for bibliography placeholders than square brackets, I think I have seen examples of both in the past. The problem as I see it, and you’d know more about this than I would, is that Pandoc makes heavier use of both styles ...

Re: Inverted preview image in High Sierra

I’d try a reboot cycle into safe mode to flush system caches. I wouldn’t think Apple would cache an application’s Quick Look mechanism, but Apple seems to cache more and more with every update, so who knows. Either way, on a fresh system with Scapple 1.3+ you shouldn’t get this problem. Scrivener ha...

Re: Broken Captions for Binder–Linked & Embedded Images

I would argue that one can already fine-tune the behaviour of this mechanism with the “Treat as raw markup” style option. If you really want the compiler to treat your document as an RTF source file—but only here and there occasionally use a little markup, you can. And it’s worth noting that you can...

Re: Record Audio Notes: has it been removed?

I'm not sure how you were doing that before. Version 2 throws an error if you try to save a recording into the Draft folder, and rightly so---that isn't a limitation of the recording tool or import mechanisms, but based on the simple fact that a bare audio file floating around in the middle of a tex...

Re: Simplenote Syncing Gone in Version 3.0?

There are two good ways to keep a synced scratch pad type workflow with Scrivener, that don’t involve any particular third-party software: Scratchpad Simple enough! Call it up with Window/Show Scratchpad whenever you need it on the Mac. To make this work on the go: ⋅  In the General: Scrat...
