Synopsis

Yes, I knew the workarounds, but I find they interrupt the creative flow. I won't expect any changes, but feel free to surprise me.

Custom Binder Icons

I dimply recall this coming up previously, but I bumped my head on it today, so... Would love to make my own binder icons, pop them into a designated folder, and be able to assign them in the binder via a context menu. I'd settle for a single icon state, if it's too much work to give us access to th...

Auto Generate Synopsis

Would very much appreciate: -Deactivate "Auto-generate synopsis" button if document is blank, and synopsis contains text. This would eliminate accidental deletions of synopsis text. -Add function to append synopsis to document text (start or ending of document) Maybe option-click on the au...

page numbers

Sorry if my choice of words was imprecise. I'm asking for page numbers on the pages, as in a screenplay.

(But Insert Page Break is more important, IMHO.)

Exciting news

First of all, THANK YOU! Anything that makes the FD/Scrivener process smoother is greatly appreciated. PAGE VIEW looks very good. If we can't have (or even ask for) Character Names and Dialogue to be kept on the same page, would you be so kind as to add "Insert Page Break" so we can manual...

ironic deals with direct opposition to expectation. Yet here's a guy who EXPECTS to die in a plane crash, then gets on a plane for the first time and dies in a plane crash, just like he thought he would . It's not just wrong, it's elaborately wrong *Yes, I actually got dizzy thinking about it You m...

spelling grump

I am annoyed by people who write that "the team will loose the game."

You LOOSE the dogs of war.
Your sister can be LOOSE.

When I read that misspelling, I LOSE my patience.

Re: Hiding/Collapsing Annotations/Footnotes

1) Each annotation and footnote could be collapsed or expanded individually, leaving a little marker in the text you would click on to expand it, which would appear before the footnote or annotation so that you could collapse it. There would be a "toggle all" option in the menu, of course...

Index card into folder

When I'm working in the corkboard, is there a way to drag index cards into a folder that's shown in the corkboard? Is the only way to do this by using the binder?

Thanks.

Move To pop-up

It would be a nice little feature if the contextual menu in the corkboard contained the "Move To" menu.

I find I do a lot of extra mousing when I rapid-fire a bunch of index cards and need to file them.

Thanks for considering.

Re: Falling more in love with Scrivener each day

I now have things set up so that I don't have to even use the shortcut keys at all; I just use the TAB key, and the text is automatically formatted the way I want before I start typing (e.g. page heading, panel heading, scene description, characters, dialogue, etc.). Why not post your template, so ...

Many Thanks, Keith, for 1.1 new hipness.

Normally, I wouldn't have much time to dig deep into a new software update. Seeing as we're ON STRIKE as of a couple of hours ago (*sigh*), I guess I'll have some time on my hands.

You've provided the new build with eerie prescience, my friend...

Character list

This should provide exactly the functionality you want - to be able to enter character names into a list that will then appear when you type a letter in the character part of a script Not to induce gnashing of teeth, but it would be even nicer if it automagically added a Character Name to the list ...
