Re: Table border and background disappears during compile

I've never seen anything like this. Could you possibly attach a sample project showing the issue?

Re: My Wish - RTF Superscript Transformation

This is definitely done. I wonder if the RTF is using a baseline offset rather than true superscript. Could you please attach a sample RTF file?

Re: Problem with Edit-Cut

Very strange! Do you use any external pasteboard managers? Cut, Copy and Paste are all handled by the system rather than by Scrivener itself. Scrivener puts data on the pasteboard when the system asks it to and pastes it in when requested, but the mechanisms are handled by Apple's code. This seems t...

Re: Question about Writing History pane

Presumably the documents being counted in "Other" have "Include in Compile" un-ticked. As such, although they are in the Manuscript folder, they aren't really part of the Manuscript since they will not be included in it when you compile.

Re: inserting a series of different images before a chapter heading

Actually, you can use the Prefix for this, along with a little trickery - and in fact, you just reminded me that I have a blog post on exactly this written up and ready to go, so I have just published it: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/blog/scrivener-3-for-macos-follow-along-using-images-for-cha...

Re: How styles are handled during compile

First question: The styles from my project are listed in the edit section layout dialog. However, in the actual formatting portion of this dialog, I am limited to body text and headings 1-6. I assume the reason for this is a limitation of the pub format? Scrivener translates my project styles into ...

Re: Showing Custom Metadata in Outliner

And you have checked that they are not ticked in the other editor's outliner either? I can't think of anything that would remove the ticks unless you are loading layouts, which may affect outliner columns.

Re: Backward quotations after em dash

I do still love the way Courier or a typewriter font looks; I just don't use it much on screen. My main Christmas present a year or two ago, though, was an old Remington Rand typewriter and I *love* it. I'd love to add a bit of random fade to characters for a true typewriting mode. :)

Re: Keeping the sidebar updated when going to a linked document

Glad I found this conversation. For me, Scrivener 3 has been a step down in usability and organizing my thoughts. I'm an academic and I use Scrivener mostly to organize my notes for any articles I read or for my ethnographic fieldwork. For my literature, I have my main Scrivener file, which is kind...

xworker - this is already how it works. Of course, you will need to reduce the height of the paper before you can move it up and down.

Re: Possible bug or strange behavior in header font on compile.

In the project you sent me, all of the text in the project was set to use Courier, not Courier New. You're right that if the font cannot be found in the project then it will use the first font in the font table. As long as the font is actually used in the text somewhere, though, it should be used in...

Re: What is this feature and how do I turn it off? (See image)

How do I get to see this strange effect myself? I recall someone else reporting it, and it seems to be a bug in the macOS text system when the text editor appears in certain environments, but I don't believe I've managed to reproduce it myself (it works fine in composition mode for me).
