Thanks for your feedback, surfdog. Like AmberV, I am surprised you find the new beta busier than SG, as the whole focus was really streamlining the interface. The feature set hasn't really changed, but there are now less modes and niggly little bits. Still, if CopyWrite works best for you, fair enou...

This is a "bug" with the AppKit, not with Scrivener - although I actually don't really think it is a bug at all. What happens is that when any view with a scroll view is squashed to small, the scroller is displayed but there is no room to draw the knob, so the Appkit chooses not to display...

Ah. This is because the scrollbar is really still there, except that it takes on the paper background colour. I have put it on my list to set it to the window background colour instead, though I have to check to see if there was a reason I didn't do this already... Come to think of it, I probably to...

Although this is a lovely idea, there are conceptual problems. The search returns results found not only in the text, but also in the notes, the index card, the keywords, the label and the status, depending on the options you have selected. There is no way for Scrivener to highlight, say, the label ...

On this, I have to direct you here: http://bugreport.apple.com Please do register and ask Apple for support for RTF footnotes and images in their attributed string methods. They prioritise based on volume of requests, I believe, so the more that ask, the better. I don't know what is in store for Leo...

Thanks for fielding this one, AmberV. Just to explain a little more: the reason I dropped this was because it just didn't look right. When you have computer-generated text plonked on top of a paper texture, it looks your words are floating rather than imprinted, and this is rather distracting. In th...

I just double checked and it turns out that I was missing an [rtfd release] in my text loading methods. The problem would have been with notes RTFD files only, as I was calling [rtfd release] for the files loaded for the main text. Hopefully this will fix the issue, as everything else is released pr...

There are a few things that caught me off-guard. The first is the font preference for General Text Attributes: changing this does not change the font of existing text, so at first I thought the preferences were not being saved/applied -- perhaps a mention in the tutorial or eventually the help file...

Feature set locked for 1.0 (and roadmap)

Please note the feature set for Scrivener 1.0 is now locked. There will be no major changes from now on. The focus is now on bug-fixing and ironing out quirks. So, whilst suggestions are always welcomed, don't be offended if you see the phrases, "Not in the near future," and "No"...

I only consider it now because the corkboard is a slightly different kettle of fish. It still won't apply to the binder - only to the corkboard and possibly the outliner, that's all.

If Apple come up with one. I don't think it's anything to sigh about, really, it's hardly a big deal.

Hi,

Actually I never intended the ability to be able to assign a label or status to multiple documents in this way, but now that you mention it, this should be possible. I have added it to the list for the next beta.

All the best,
Keith

No to this one. I have enhanced the search loads, and it is _very_ usable and flexible already. What you are asking for would be duplication, given that the standard Find panel does this already. The only extra step you have to take is manually selecting the document in the search results, but this ...

It's definitely problematic, and there is no easy workaround, either. I could force the colour and font panels to close when the Preferences panel closes, but this isn't a good solution. Because these panels are application-wide, there is no way of checking whether they have been used by the Prefere...
