Re: Interoperability between Scrivener and Vellum

Glad you like it! Kudos to the two Brads at Vellum, too. I followed their Word import guide and found some minor issues: "Epigraph" wasn't recognised properly with the way Scrivener generated page breaks; images imported into Vellum always had an extra empty line after them; Vellum wouldn'...

Re: Remove first line indent [sigh]

You haven't got a tab character at the start of the paragraph in the text, have you? Indents won't remove tabs, but only ruler indents. If you have a tab at the start of the text, that will show up regardless. (Generally it's better not to use tabs and only to use ruler indents.)

All the best,
Keith

Re: Trailing Spaces in Title Header on Folders Only

A sample project would definitely help, as I can't think of what would cause this off-hand, so it is presumably down to some particular setting in the project.

Re: Trailing Spaces in Title Header on Folders Only

Sorry, I'm not really sure what you mean by this: "But folders are compiled with two trailing spaces. "# " and " # ". ("b#bb")" What does the "b" represent, and what do you mean with the hashes there? It might be easiest to post a smalls sample proje...

Re: Remove first line indent [sigh]

Which file format are you exporting to? For most formats, this is controlled in the Compile Format editor in Section Layouts under "Settings". For ebooks, this is controlled in "Text Layout" (which just inserts the necessary CSS - you can also edit the CSS directly). I'd need a l...

Re: Compile don´t keep Centered text. Scrivener 3

If there's different space between the scenes, don't you just need to go to the other scenes and do the same? Scrivener will only insert one blank line between scenes, so anything else must be in the project, I would have thought. Isn't the second Kindle Previewer screenshot exactly how things shoul...

Re: Rich text to multimarkdown or separate styles

Indeed, "Convert rich text to MultiMarkdown" assumes that you aren't writing in MultiMarkdown in the editor and sets about converting rich text to MultiMarkdown, including: - Escaping characters such as asterisks where necessary. - Inserting asterisks around italics and bold (unescaped, of...

As long as you are in scrivenings mode, then, everything should be fine. Perhaps you can post a screenshot?

Re: MMD, Synopsis as Quote, Section Break

I was suggesting that you would use this in a layout. Another option is to set up a style in Compile for the synopsis and then use the Compile style options to add ">" as a prefix to the style you use for the Synopsis. That's the best route if you want to use the synopsis tick box for this.

Re: Positioning header and footer text

The header in your image looks fine to me. Font sizes and baselines may make "centre" not entire accurate, but that still looks about right. However, in 3.0.3 there will be a new option that allows you to set header and footer margins manually if you want (in the Compile format), so that y...

Re: MMD, Synopsis as Quote, Section Break

One option would be to use the <$synopsis> placeholder in e.g. the title suffix or the document prefix for the layout.

Re: Show Titles in Scrivenings

Sorry to ask the obvious, but do your documents have titles? (As opposed to italicised auto-titles.) Also double check that the "Only Show Scrivenings Titles for Folders" setting isn't ticked in the View > Text Editing menu.

Re: Compile don´t keep Centered text. Scrivener 3

Sorry, I'm a little confused as to what you are trying to do. I thought your problem was that text is not being centred properly, but now you seem to be talking about removing indents from the first paragraph after a break. If you just want the first paragraph indent removed from the "Nuevo&quo...

Re: ToC Woes: "Introduction" Added Repeatedly During Compile

My previous post guessed it exactly right: the ToC is correct, because it is showing the titles of your MS. The title of your first document is: Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION The title of your second document is: Chapter 2 INTRODUCTION-1 You can see this for yourself easily: 1. Double-click into "Chap...
