Re: Current line highlighting?

Thanks for the kind words (and for feedback that eschews hyperbole). Your first example isn't possible because the large margins around the text are not part of the text itself, but of the scrolling view behind it - the line highlight has to be part of the text area. This is one of the main reason f...

Re: $scr_anchor etc.

Thanks for sending it in. It's caused by the Zapf Dingbats font being used for those stars, which is throwing off the internal code. It's a bug that will have been there for years (in Scrivener 2 as well) but it took this unusual circumstance to trigger it. I've fixed it for 3.0.1, which I'll be rel...

Re: Label & Status in Inspector in 3.0 (elimination of General Pane)

Fair point Twelvetimes. For such relevant information to be buried in an awkward part of the screen seems strange. After an hours writing, or a couple of beers, my eyes default to typewriter mode so I cant reach that part of the screen anyway. You can't... look down? :) To a standard area for statu...

Re: Ebook Compile with As-Is option not working right

Which is why it's a major update and not a point update...

And it's really *not* a different program - that is somewhat hyperbolic. Compile has been overhauled. The fundamentals of Scrivener are the same.

Re: Composition Mode (Center Screen Typing)

Have you changed the "Typewriter scroll line" setting in the "Editing" Preferences at all? I can reproduce nothing like this.

Re: $scr_anchor etc.

Hmm, that's some internal code that Scrivener uses while putting things together - it should never make it into the final output. Would it be possible to send me the project and Compile format so that I can test what's causing it and fix it?
Thanks and all the best,
Keith

Re: $levelN_title losing underscore before processing in header & footer on compile to PDF

Because underscores and asterisks are used to create underlined, italicised and bold text in headers and footers.
All the best,

Re: Lost ePub paragraph formatting

Currently there is no option to turn underlines into italics in ePub 3 and KF8 - that is coming in 3.0.1. As for the problem of paragraphs turning into a single continuous text, that sounds as though you have ticked "Convert Markdown to rich text in text and notes". That's not something yo...

It looks as though you are using "Paste and Match Style" instead of "Paste".

Re: Invisible list attribute causes ordinary paragraphs to appear as lists in multimarkdown output.

That's not a bug, it's just different behaviour. Scrivener doesn't have access to all of the TextKit's internals.

Re: The ability to password protect individual projects

Yes, Katherine and popcornflix have hit the nail on the head. We do get frequent requests to password-protect Scrivener projects, but it's not like password-protecting a single file such as a Word document, which can be encrypted. As Katherine and popcornflix point out, a Scrivener project is not a ...

Re: Scriv 3, the Forum and the new 'Flatter' look

I'm not liking the new look & I really wish I hadn't upgraded. The thing I miss the most, though, is the use of label colours in the binder. I know it reflects a similar change in Mac OS from a few versions ago (dots of colour instead of wide swipes of colour) - but I don't like it in the OS, e...

Re: Stop Capitalisation on New Line

Dang that checkbox in the System Preferences! When did that get added? I see it's there in 10.12 but I never noticed it. It turns out that the auto-caps option there doesn't do anything unless you have both spell-checking and auto-correction turned on, which is no doubt why I've never noticed it, bu...
