Re: Keyboard shortcut for Change Icon?

You should be able to, by entering the name of the icon menu item under Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts and adding an entry for Scrivener. However, because the icon menu is built dynamically, the shortcut may not work until the menu has been opened at least once during the session. All the best...

Re: Numeric list type (1. 2. 3.) does not work.

Hi, Thanks for the kind words - glad Scrivener is proving helpful! I'm afraid I can't reproduce this at all, though. I tried downloading the Bookerly font and following your instructions, but everything worked fine. The way bullets are applied and work are entirely down to Apple's text system, so I'...

Re: How do I override body text format when compiling to PDF?

I recommend going through the tutorial that comes with Scrivener, especially the section on Section Types and Compile. There's no need to get a professional to do anything - you just need to learn how Compile works in Scrivener to get the most out of it.

Re: How do I override body text format when compiling to PDF?

Keith, that works for my user-defined styles but not for the unnamed default style, which is used for the main body text. Overriding formatting in Section Layouts is exactly what you need, though - that *does* override the unnamed default style ("No Style"). Of course, you must also make ...

Re: Limit to resizing an image in version 3

There were some problems with this in 2.0. 25pt is a hard limit below which certain types of image can run into the problems in the text system; however, because both horizontal and vertical sliders need to have the same minimum and maximum values, there was a problem in Scrivener 2 whereby making t...

Re: How do I override body text format when compiling to PDF?

You would do this using Section Layouts when editing or creating a Compile Format. For each Section Layout, you can choose to override the text formatting and define the formatting you wish to use.

Re: Save the vertical position of the right binder margin

This should already get saved - I can't reproduce the problem, I'm afraid, because the binder width gets restored perfectly for me in every project. Could you perhaps post or send us a project where this isn't working?

Keith

Hello,

Can you please zip up the affected project and send it to us at mac.support AT literatureandlatte.com so that we can take a look and try to work out what's going on?

Thanks and all the best,

You an always assign keyword shortcuts to these menu items using the System Preferences if you use them a lot.

Re: Compiling lists (bullets and numbers) to docx

Could you please attach a zipped-up sample project that demonstrates this bug (or email it to us)? I have seen this bug caused by certain custom formatting (and have worked around it in code for some causes), but I'll need a sample project to see what is triggering it in this case, and whether it's ...

Re: Copy Document Notes To New Subdocument/Split Document?

As of Scrivener 3, document notes are *not* duplicated - this is a split function, after all, not duplicate. As a user myself, I found it annoying ending up with multiple copies of my notes after a duplication. So notes are left in the first document, the same as the synopsis, and it's up to the use...

Re: Ability to compile Project Notes

Project Notes will be removed entirely in Scrivener 3 and replaced with a new system of bookmarks and Quick Reference side bars. You'll still be able to do everything that you could with Project Notes, it's just that the notes will now be part of the binder - so you will be able to compile them. All...

Re: multiple HTML file creation for nonlinear story telling

I can't believe I forgot about that option! The way this works, incidentally, is that when you tell Scrivener to hide the section in the eBook, it gets the "Linear" attribute for the section element in the OPF XML of the ebook to "No" - this means that it will not be navigable wh...

Re: [BUG ?] or Amount of Keywords Metadata is limited in a Scrivener project ?

Great, glad the project is working now! None of those external apps would have caused the issue - those don't edit the underlying data of the Scrivener project as far as I know. We also have another user with a similar problem in our support queue (although I haven't yet verified if it's also down t...

Re: Tweet progress without the image?

I've added an option for this to 3.0.2. The option is called "Include screenshot when using Twitter service in Project Targets", and you'll find it under General > Services in the Preferences.

All the best,
