Collections

In the thread from pre-release days the question was asked but not answered.
(viewtopic.php?f=53&t=29755&p=208152&hilit=Collections#p208152)

Does Scrivener for iOS have Collections?
I assume it doesn't but would love to hear that I'm wrong.

Footnotes

It seems clear from the main L&L Scrivener for iOS product page that inline footnotes/comments are supported.
Does the iOS app also have the equivalent of Inspector footnotes?
If so, can anyone point me to a screenshot of the interface? (I haven't been able to find one.)
Thanks

Keywords in Binder Contextual Menu?

The contextual menu in the Binder is quite helpful.
Any chance we could get the option of adding Keywords that way?
Would be much quicker and easier (for me, anyway) than opening Inspector or the Project Keywords pane.

Thanks

Preset Indication?

I've got a number of formatting presets used in a document.
How can I tell whether or not a preset has been applied to a given paragraph, and, if so, which one?

Or is this for the Wish List?

Thanks

Re: Revision on the iPad

Start and End are in the window I meant. When you see those, tap in one or the other, delete what's there, and type what you want. If you want a pair to be used together, then fill both Start and End fields. Otherwise, just put the single character you want in the Start field. Looks like you're just...

Re: Revision on the iPad

Did you tap on "Edit" ? To change what's assigned to any given button, tap on 'Edit' then tap on the letter, symbol whatever you want to change. This will take you to the window in which you can enter the new one. For navigation, tap in margin to move cursor. A matter of taste, but I like ...

Re: Revision on the iPad

Yeah, I understand. They don't document it. Tap and hold one of the extra buttons. A contextual menu with other options should appear. Tap 'Edit' and then 'New' to add new option. To change just choose the one you want to change, and a new 'window' opens in which you just type what you want to be th...

Re: Revision on the iPad

Daedalus has a great keyboard: 10 custom keys that can be whatever you want. What's more, each key can hold several (it seems unlimited--I think I have 8 or 10) options, so you can easily and quickly change the extended keyboard for whatever purpose you need.. So it's quite flexible, far beyond any ...

Re: iPad apps for writing

Yeah, of course it depends on what matters to you. If, like me, you care about the keyboard more than other things: I think Daedalus Touch still has the best configurable extended keyboard I've seen. But I expect that Scrivener for iPad will equal it ;-). IAWriter's extended keyboard doesn't appear ...

Re: iPad apps for writing

In case someone else wonders: While it's true that Writeroom *preserves* the binder hierarchy of synced Scrivener documents, it doesn't display this hierarchy. Now that Notebooks has a configurable extended keyboard, it seems like an even better match for Scrivener, since it both preserves and displ...

marcoiac wrote:IA Writer and WriteRoom also can sync the same folder structure that Scrivener syncs in Dropbox.

This looks like the answer to my question, but I'd like to be sure.

Is it true that WriteRoom preserves Scrivener folder structure when sync'd through Dropbox?

Anyone use it this way?

Thanks

Re: Lion: First Impressions

At the risk of veering slightly off-topic: Mark, can you tell me why you've moved from GyazMail to Mail.app? I'm a GyazMail fan thinking of moving to Lion and am wondering whether I'd have to / want to follow your path.... My primary 'complaint' about GyazMail is that it doesn't integrate with Spotl...

Text Trash

As appreciation of Ulysses (Mac writing program, silly) is no stranger here, I was going to suggest emulating its valuable feature, Text Trash. Then I realized I could duplicate this function in Scrivener with Keyboard Maestro. I set up a KM macro to cut selected text, open Project Notes (where I ha...

Font/Size in Compile

Is there a way to change font but not font size in compile? Like many, I prefer to use one font for working and another for compiling. I know I can change the font when compiling, but doing so also forces all text so changed to have a uniform size, or at least so it seems. So if a doc has two or mor...
