Re: Shrink PrtScr photos when inserting into text files

Hi AmberV - you are totally correct. Perhaps the original poster was referencing final production work. In my case I do the quick and dirty drop an image into the article where it goes, quick resize so I can see the image (In this case I am referring to PC Hardware review writing), finish the articl...

Re: Shrink PrtScr photos when inserting into text files

I have the same issue really. I love Scrivener, but don't do too much of my article/blog/how to guides writing with it as they use a fair amount of images. It tends to just be easier to enter directly into wordpress or use MS Word to enter in and quickly resize the screenshots. I am ok with them bei...

Re: Need help - Corrupted project.scrivx on Dropbox

Not sure if this is what you mean, but dropbox only keeps 30 days of *revision history*, not a 30 day limit on files stored there.

Re: Timelines ??

Timelines aren't something likely to be included in Scrivener itself, though efforts (as seen above) are being made by 3rd party developers. Keith has a post on this here: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/blog/?p=104 it is in relation to Scrivener 2.0 for Mac, but is probably relevant for the Windo...

Re: Scrivener for Windows now available for *pre-order*

I can confirm that the new NaNo 2010 code works. Question on the license. I use multiple computers for writing (Home, Work, linux netbook). Will I be able to install it on multiple computers, if need be? I could do without the work computer, but it would be nice to make notes as I think of them. If...

Re: Scrivener for Windows now available for *pre-order*

Well we could look at it as Scrivener is such an excellent product that people can't wait to pay for it, so would rather use a 20% discount now instead of a 50% discount later ;)

Re: Scrivener for Windows now available for *pre-order*

Hi Sciley, On the store links you will see all 4 versions. Mac regular and Educational and now the Windows regular and Educational. (ie - Student Versions.) I have a link to it on the right side of my site, though to be fair I will mention this is an affiliate link which is why I am not linking in t...

Re: LEE'S UPDATE - BETA 035 RELEASED

Great work Lee - downloading the new beta now!

(For reference, you will want to change the download link on the main page from 029 to 035. Manually changing it works, but others might get confused.)

Re: Moving a project from PC to PC?

Dropbox is great for this, I use it too. However, be cautious (its been covered extensively on these forums) to not be actively working out of dropbox . Ie - safest way to ensure you don't run into file corruptions, version issues, etc, is to Export as a zip file backup to dropbox, copy locally to s...

Re: Blog

I have used Scrivener for this, but placing images is a bit of a pain depending on the length of the piece. MarsEdit is one on my to try list (others in this thread mentioned) I tried one called "Blogo" a while back and recall liking it, plan on testing it again. As those apps both I belie...

Re: Wordcount History

To throw in my two cents, I would love this feature/script as well. Personally I use a spreadsheet when I need this sort of thing at the moment now... helps give me the visual nudge to keep going. (Search for NaNoWriMo or NaNo wordcount spreadsheets and you will find a lot of examples that can be us...

Re: Story-/Timeline

Thanks for the additions MM, re-reading what I posted I didn't get the positive spin I was going for.

Prior to Scrivener a timeline feature was a must have for me. Since converting, I haven't really missed it as the corkboard etc allows me to keep things organized as I need to. :)

Re: Story-/Timeline

Hi Bettina - the below link might help: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/blog/?p=104 From KB: I think I should clear this up once and for all, given that it’s a request that comes up every so often: Scrivener is unlikely ever to have a timeline feature. (I won’t say “never”, but it is highly unlike...
