Re: Loooonngg & Frequent Autosaves in Scrivener 3 for MacOS

I'm seeing the same repetative updating search indexes events on both macOS and iOS. In addition to the problems reported in my various messages (such as http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=52067) about Scrivener for macOS marking open projects changed when they have not ...

Re: All Open Projects Marked Changed After 24 Hours

I'm going to disagree with Keith here and suggest that leaving projects open constantly is unwise, especially if you also use iOS Scrivener. In theory, it should be completely safe. In practice, there are just too many things that can go wrong. Since the release of the Scrivener for iOS I've not no...

Bringing Scrivener to the front with the task switcher after an extended time in the background; typically it's the first fronting of Scrivener than causes this.

All Open Projects Marked Changed After 24 Hours

I keep Scrivener open permanently; done so since the days of version 1. Now with version 3 if Scrivener is left running for 24 hours then all open projects will be marked as changed whether or not the user has typed anything at all. Spotted this this morning when I switched from my web browser to Sc...

Re: v3.0.1 Cmd-S saves all open projects rather than current.project

Upgrade (or maybe re-installed the latest it is hard to tell) Dropbox on macOS. Afterwards last updated timestamp did not change. Two minutes ago task-switched to Scrivener and oh look there all five of the open proejcts got a free updated timestamp. Hadn't typed anything into any of them; switch fr...

Re: v3.0.1 Cmd-S saves all open projects rather than current.project

Syncing between iOS and Dropbox is glacially slow. It was relatively fast before the upgrade to macOS Scrivener 3 and the pre-requisite upgrade to macOS 10.13 or 10.12.

Re: v3.0.1 Cmd-S saves all open projects rather than current.project

I've no idea what is going then. I don't have backups going to Dropbox. Only the projects are there. But whether it is Cmd-S or something else regularly the open projects are marked (by the iOS app) as needing to sync even when I have not changed them. One but only one of the five had its external b...

v3.0.1 Cmd-S saves all open projects rather than current.project

Back in v2 when multiple projects were open Cmd-S would only save the current project (that is the one that had input focus). In v3 Cmd-S saves all open projects. This becomes tedious when the folder these projects are stored in is Dropbox. Causes sync with iOS to take forever as all these projects ...

In your opinion... Which, unless I missed the newsletter, is not yet objective fact. :) Then again I used to be of the opinion that L&L were good at support for a great product. Just as subjective. You do realize that this appears to boil down to: R: My opinion is fact! L: No, in fact, it is an...

Re: Icon for iOS

The new iOS icon is borked! It is misaligned within the icon square being shifted to the right rather than centered and also shift down causing the bottom curve of the letter to be sliced off. I hate to tell you this, but I think that's by design not accident! :… Then the design is clearlyto make S...

Re: Sync Button

Tapping 'Show App Settings' within a project brings me to ios Settings, again with no scrivener tab. Can somebody help? Seen the same but for me it was iOS 11 and Scrivener 1.1.1 immediately after upgrade to 1.1.1. All the app tabs were missing! After some time (over an hour) ignoring the problem e...

No, I have multiple documents within that journal project. Although I think you are calling Scrivener projects documen...

Re: Organization Best Practices in Writing

I maintain a dedicated "Writer's Journal" project in Scrivener. In there I have folders for creative writing classes and their associated assignments, for ideas — which maybe just a single word or a few paragraphs, for fragments — pieces that come to mind with interesting conversations or ...
