Re: Mechanical, Dongle-free Bluetooth Keyboard?

I've ordered a keyboard called Four Season, but I’ve not yet received it. It's a kickstarter-type project, so consider the risks.

Re: Scriv 3, the Forum and the new 'Flatter' look

For what is worth, I like the new look more than the older one. I find it less intrusive, airier, better integrated with the OS.

Re: macOS Sierra

Since I'll be stuck with Yosemite nearly forever, I hope Scrivener will be backward-compatible for a very long time..,

Re: Scapple now has competitors: CmapTools & Mindomo.com (in 'Concept Map' mode)

Scapple is unique in its bare simplicity. I couldn't do without it, and hope it will appear on iOS very soon. Any other 'whiteboard' app I've tried added levels of complexity interfering with the need to 'clean my mind'.

Hum... Isn't this already there, both in iOS and the Mac?

Re: Library of themes (similar to Ulysses Style Exchange)

Scrivener has a Manage > Theme Preference series of menu commands in the Preference window. This is very similar to what you do with themes in Ulysses. Presets can be saved and exchanged between users, and we could open a thread for this. I like to have more themes in Scrivener, for example a green ...

Re: Is Scapple still being actively developed?

While Scapple might not have been update for years, I've continued to use it nearly daily. It's simple, effective, and manages even the biggest plans. I would love to see some refinements, but that's all. It works great as it is. Make it more complex, and it will weight too much, and no longer be th...

Re: Proofreading

I always send the text to be proofread as a PDF, asking the proofread to use the annotation features of his/her PDF reader. I don't like the mess track changes make of a document, and prefer to keep the document I'm working on separated from the revised/annotated one. In any case, you have to work o...

Re: OCR to recover an old MS?

It should be mentioned that Mr. Ken Follett … swears by retyping manually the first version of his manuscript as a means to improve it. What I do, is to write my notes on a traditional paper notebook, and then dictate my notes to the Mac. When dictating, I get the opportunity to "rewrite"...

Re: What happened to Circus Ponies?

During the latest years, I've limited my use of CP NoteBook to be my GTD manager. Its SuperFind page, with all the due actions sorted by category, and its ease of syncronization with Apple Calendar, is great for this, and I can't see any replacement that I can like. I will probably continue using it...

Re: iThoughts and Scapple

I use iThoughts when I have to. But I wish there was a Scapple for iPad. It's my preferred brainstorming and idea sketching tool. Clean, direct, elegant, with no added embellishments. Maybe with Keith now playing on his new iPad Pro…
